Chapter 26

JULIE'S POV

For the past two hours Malia has been making me break down walls, destroy objects that are ment to be indestructible, and made me demolish test dummies. My body aches and my breathing is unsteady and I honestly have no idea where I am. Malia told me that I had to stay inside this room until she tell me to come out and it's been twenty minutes since she left me. I hate her presence but I actually feel safe when she's around me... well she is the evil queen of this establishment.

Sitting down in the cold room, I stare into the darkness across from me. I begin to see movement from within it making me back up further into the wall. I see a bloody hand creep out from the shadows causing my breath to catch. Another hand, just as bloody, appears and tries to crawl closer to me. A gasp escapes me when a head and a torso flops onto the floor. They look up at me and I see that it's Theo.

Without hesitation I run over to him and sit him up against a wall. Dry blood starts from the top of his head to the bottom of his cheek bones. His lips are cracked and one of his eyes are black and blue. I press my hands onto each side of his face and look at him with worry. Scratches cover his chest but not enough to draw as much blood that covers his hands.

"W-what happened to you?" I ask him searching his face for answers.

He touches my cheek and smiles at me. "I'm sorry for everything that I did to you," he says causing my eyes to roll. I open my mouth to tell him that this is not a conversation we need to be having right now but he stops me. "Julie, I may have lied to you about turning you and I apologize for everything that happened to you after that because none of it would have happened if it weren't for me. But, Julie, I do not apologize for kissing you because that was no mistake. I kissed you because I love you."

My heart stops and I stare at him with shock. Never in a million years would I have ever expected him to say those words. I feel tears fall from my eyes and he wipes them away and he winces in pain. Before he takes his hand off of my face I smash my lips onto his. Our kiss is strong and passionate and unlike before this one is full of love.

Slowly we pull apart and we breathe. The kiss was short but it was a kiss that I will remember forever. I look into his eyes and smile. "I love you."

He stares at me for a few seconds, surprised by what I had said, before smiling at me. He pulls me into a tight embrace not wanting to let me go. I wrap my arms around him to feel indents all over his back. I immediately pull out of his grasp, not wanting to hurt him.

"Theo, turn around," I say to him trying to turn his body but he stops me.

"I'm fine, Julie, really it's ok," he says leaning away from me.

"Turn around."

Slowly he turns around and reveals his back to me. Long, deep scratches cover his entire back. Small drops of blood still fall from them and I feel my heart ache. My fingers gently brush the surface and all I can do is frown.

"Who did this to you?" I ask trying to hold back my tears.

"Malia's henchmen did it, and it would have healed but they used a silver whip." His head tilts towards the floor in shame. "Julie, I saw them drag Scott past my cell and he didn't look good. I have no idea what they are going to do to him, but we need to help him." Scott... I forgot about Scott! How could I forget about Scott!

I start to panic and shoot up from the floor. My hands wrap around the bars of the cell and I pry them off of their hinges. I go to walk out but I stop at edge of the cell. My feet won't move any further, as if they are cemented to the floor. Malia told me that I had to stay inside this room until she tells me to come out...

"Theo, you have to find Scott. I can't leave this cell." I say to him in a hurried tone.

"What do you mean you can't leave?"

"Whatever Malia did has caused her to have complete control of me. She told me that I have to stay in this room so I can't leave it, but you can. You need to go find Scott and get out of here."

"I'm not leaving you here! Are you insane?" He shouts getting up from the floor.

"Yes you are! Now go!" I gently push him out of the room so that he stands in the hallway. He looks at me for a second before he disappears down the hall, leaving me alone within the dark cell.

MINDY'S POV

After discovering what Malia is doing with Julie we headed back into the hallways looking for Malia's secret office. Every bad guy has one of those... right?

As we walk down the hall we begin to hear voices, loud voices. We slow our pace and make our way toward them. Looking around the corner I see Stiles with his hands gripped tight onto Theo's shirt while Tyler stands back and watches.

"Theo, what the hell is wrong with you! Do you know how much trouble you put her through?" Veins appear on Stiles's neck as he shouts at him. "Where is she?"

"I know what I did and I'm being punished for it. Don't make it sound like I don't care about her, Stiles." Theo's voice is calm and his chest moves slowly up and down as his back sits against the cold wall. "She's in a cell down the hall but we can't get to her. Malia arrived shortly after I left."

Stiles slams Theo's back against the wall. "What do you mean you left?"

"I had to leave, she forced me! And no one can get her out of that cell except for Malia!" Theo's voice rises but it's not has strong as Stiles's. "Whatever Malia injected in Julie has caused her to have complete control over Julie's actions. Whatever she says goes. I left the cell to look for Scott." Scott, why would Theo want to look for Scott?

"I already found him. He's outside in my jeep. He was pretty beat up." Oh no. "I don't know what Malia's planing but whatever it is... it can't be good."

I step out from the shadows, causing them both to look at me. Eventually Lydia, Chris, and Parrish show themselves as well causing Stiles to smile, but only for a slight second. We all look at eachother searching for an answer on what to do next. Scott's safe, so all we have to do is get Julie out... and all of us. Right when Chris opens his mouth to speak, three men in black walk into view. We would have ran but there are seven of us and three of them, we could definitely take them.

As the men run down into our direction they seem to change. Scales appear on one, while fur, and feathers appear on the others. Soon they morph into an alligator, a bear, and an eagel but a much larger version. So that's what they were doing with the animals. They probably started creating a serum that could be injected into these men so that they could transform into animals.

Stiles grabs my arm and pulls me toward him and Tyler. "We can't fight this battle. They are too strong and we have no weapon." He says into my ear and pulls me out of the creatures view. Theo follows and I see that his back is covered with slashes. I feel my stomach turn forcing me to look away.

Parrish bursts into flames and begins attacking the animals, while Chris fires his guns and Lydia blasts them with her scream. At first they were loosing, the animals were taking ahold of them but now they are winning. The eagel falls down with a shreak and the alligator falls to the floor with a thud. The only one left is the bear.

It roars pushing them back with a huge puff of air. The bear hits Chris making him fall down onto the floor, attacks Parrish, knocking him out cold, and bites Lydia making her scream. My friends are all lying on the floor, not able to protect themselves. I become furious and rip from Stiles's grip and make my way to the bear. I run towards him and scream. A loud, strong, ear piercing scream. The bear is thrown back into the wall all the way at the end of the hall and lays there lifeless.

Immediately after I go to Lydia, helping her up from the ground. She looks at me with amazement. "You found your scream," she says. "You saved us."
