Chapter 25

Shawn's POV:
When we reach the apartment door I hesitate to open it. "What's wrong...?" Katy asks concerned. I shake my head to dismiss it, truthfully I was worried that Maya and Farkle were making out and I didn't want the first thing Katy to see was them making out on the couch. I then twist the knob and open the door. I close my eyes and wince when I heard nothing. Hmmm. I open my eyes as Katy walks past me with her luggage in hand. I look to see Maya and Farkle watching tv. Huh. "Hey baby girl..." Katy says. Maya turns around and jumps up. "Hey mom...!" She replies happily. "Hey Farkle dear," Katy says over Maya's shoulder. Farkle turned around and smiled "hey Mrs.Hart" and gave a small wave. Katy smiled and gave a small wave back. Once Maya separated from her hug she asked her all about the trip and stuff. I walked over to Farkle eyeing him carefully, "hmmm....." I say aloud. He turns to me and arches a brow "somethin wrong Shawn...?" I shake my head as to not attract attention. He looked skeptical but turned away at last. As I continued to watch him I heard a phone ring. I pay my jeans to check my phone and it wasn't mine, then I saw Farkle stand up and pat himself and he picked up his phone to find out it was his phone that had made the sound. He looked at me and answered his phone. "Hello?" He said. He was quiet for a moment then said "yea nothing....." "Uh huh...." "No yea we could go....." "Are they...?" "Ohh..." Then he smirked. "Alright I got you man," he finished after a moments worth of silence. Why did he smirk...? Who was he talking to maybe Lucas...? Then he hung up and I looked at him with a curious face. He chuckled and said "well Shawn I would say you've lost your cool to have to eavesdrop on my conversation by being an adult......but..." I cut him off by gasping. "What is happening to me...? I'm actually being overprotective...." I grab my chest over dramatically. He smiles and rolls his eyes and says "if you want to know so badly Shawn it was just Riley and Lucas..... Riley invited me and Maya over to her house for the day." I stopped being over dramatic and nodded. I looked at the time and saw it was 1 p.m. "Well you should go on over....." I said at last. He smiled and said "hey atleast you guys have alone time....." While flashing me his signature smirk. I roll my eyes and say "hey that's confidentiality........" He chuckles and says "hey maya...!"Maya walks in with curiosity as to why she was called and said "right here sweetheart....." She said it as she was looking at me directly in the eye. That girl.......... Has serious issues with adults and relationships.... He smiled at her action and told her about Riley and the invitation to there house. "Are their...-" he shook his head no cutting her off. She smiled and said "great!" What am I missing here...? Farkle said the same thing on the phone but got cut off too. Hmm. Maya then grabbed a jacket and said "alright we gotta go, tell mom I said bye she's in the shower....." Then she Gave me a quick hug and opened the door and walked out with Farkle. What just happened....?

Maya's POV:
When Farkle told me we were going to Riley's house I was cool with it. But then he mentioned Riley and Lucas said we were gonna play games, well I got excited because Riley knows I get competitive. What kind of game is she planning....? When we arrive Riley answered the door because what Farkle told me was that their parents were out having a date night and would return around after midnight and auggie was on a play date with Ava. "Hey riles" I say stepping in as she opened the door wider to let us in. Lucas and Farkle began to talk about some random thing as I was too busy talking with Riley. "So what's this game you guys are talking about?" I ask Riley. She smiles and says "well I don't know I'm starting to think you can't handle it......" What?! That's crazy......!! My reaction must have said the same thing because she smiled mischievously. Oh she was stringing me along so I wouldn't back out. "Is that a challenge riles......?" I ask aloud as to get the boys attention and It worked. They turned their attentions toward us questioningly. I looked at her challengingly. Well playfully ofcourse. She gave me an innocent look and said "oh peaches I didn't mean towards me, no no we are on the same team, it's them you have to worry about" as she pointed towards the boys. The boys looked a little alarmed "wait what?! What did we do?!" Lucas asked worriedly. Farkle looked worried too and said "if it's a game that involves physical energy let's just let Maya win because we all know what happens when she doesn't" everyone shuddered and rubbed the back of their heads subconsciously. I chuckle. That was a good day....... I shake my head from the flashback "riles here says the game is extreme and that we should be competitive towards each other....." I say looking over at Riley smiling innocently. Even Lucas looked scared. "Umm Riley......what game does it happen to be...?" Lucas asked his voice wavering. I big back the urge to laugh at how scared Lucas was OF RILEY..!! She smiles and leans into me to whispers "there is no way they will win...." My eyes sparkled at that because that means we CANT LOOSE!!! I smirked and whispered back "how so....?" Her eyes sparkled and she whispered back "do you have a problem with taking off clothes....?" My face must have shown surprise because then the boys began whispering among themselves as to why I was surprised. She then asked me "are you wearing a tanktop under your shirt...?" I shrugged and looked in side my shirt to see I was wearing a white tanktop. I know it's weird I forgot what I'm wearing but I'm just not thinking at this point. I nodded. She smiled knowingly. Then she asked me again in the same low voice as before "what type of bra are you wearing....?" I scrunched up my face and asked "Riley why are you asking me these weird questions...?" She shushed me and said "it will help us win" I thought over it and thought 'what the heck' I mean Riley is my bestfriend after all.... I rolled my eyes at my stupidity to forgetting what kind of bra I'm wearing. I peer inside my shirt once again and move my tanktop to see I was wearing a sports bra. Oh yea now I remember. I close my shirt and say "sports" she nodded and said "we are definitely winning" I smiled. She then said "there's a fooseball table downstairs in the arcade of the apartment how bout a game...?" The guys reluctantly nodded and Riley led the way to the arcade. As we reached the arcade we noticed a lot of people were there but most were leaving. I glanced over at Riley and she was smirking. She must have something in store...... When we reached the fooseball table we saw people had just finished and for some reason we're putting shirts back on. Lucas and Farkle seemed thrown off. I'm starting to think this isn't an innocent game.... Then I realized what this is. Riley is a sly one I'll give her that. Is she really planning on playing what I think she is....? It was a strip game. I should have known. I grabbed Riley's arm and pulled her close and I whispered "Riley are you sure about this...?" She looked thoughtful for about a second then said "I thought it would be funny to see them squirm...." I chuckled and said "game on...." "Boys vs. girls...." Riley began. Lucas scoffed and said "don't you think that's a bit unfair for you guys...?" We shook our heads simultaneously "dont worry about us ranger Rick I think we will be just fine....." He crossed his arms over his chest and Farkle did the same "if you say so....." Farkle trailed on already picking a side. The boys move to one side and me and Riley choose the other side. "Wait-" Farkle cut in. We looked up at him. "Somethings not right- their planning something Lucas....there's a catch isn't there....?" He asks us indirectly. Lucas then nodded and said "your right Farkle......" "Alright what's the catch by the look of seriousness on your face I think it has to do with the game itself...what happens when we loose...?" He asks us. I look away and say "ugh their smart...." Riley turned to me grinning and said "but we are smarter" "hey!" Farkle whined. I chuckled and whispered a way to get them to agree to the game, because I know they won't agree. I whispered to Riley my plan and she grinned. We nodded our heads at the same time and walked over to the boys. We were gonna seductively get our way..... "Let's say every time a person gets a point, the other team removes a piece of clothing.....sound familiar....?" Riley said waltzing around Lucas in a seductive way while I was working my magic in Farkle. 2 minutes in they both caved in. "Yes!" Me and Riley exclaimed jumping around. "Prepare to loose!" I said challengingly. Lucas and Farkle gulped and nodded. We honestly thought that would shake them up but the second the game started they scored a point. It was so fast I didn't even see it. Me and Riley had our jaws to the floor. "Aw what?!" I explained throwing my hands in the air. Riley crossed her arms and said "we are just girls how dare you?!" The boys chuckled and had an expectant look on their faces. Me and Riley sighed and took off our shoes. We continued the game each team getting slowly undressed. We were in the lead 5-4 so far. The boys were in their undershirts and pants and me and Riley had our tank tops on along with our pants. We had a lot of accessories so that was a plus. As we continued playing the boys shot a point. Uh oh. 5-5 me and Riley looked around trying to find an accessory we hadn't tooken off yet. No such luck. We sighed. We then took our tank tops off. The boys stared wide-eyed. They both turned a shade of red similar to a strawberry from blushing. Me and Riley smirked. We could use this. Riley whispered to me "jump" I was confused as to why I needed to jump but she looked determined. Once they gained their 'so called confidence' I began jumping. "Guys this is so fun!!" I say starting to jump around. Riley began jumping with me. She had a mask of innocence but I could see she was enjoying being evil. I then looked at the boys for a second and saw that their eyes were wide open and they were trying so hard not to look at us. What was so-? Ohh OHH they were looking down there....oh Riley is evil..... I gave Riley and nod and we stopped jumping. "Riles they might beat us..... Maybe we should stretch our arms a bit....?" I say smirking. Riley catches my drift and says "you're totally right" and from there we began to stretch our arms across each other and me and Riley could tell the boys were hiding the tents that were growing from their pants. We must really be getting them worked up. "Alright let's play" I say finishing and we continue the game from the break we took. It was a tough thing to do just to get one point but now it got a little easier since they were distracted. We gained a point and me and Riley gave each other a high five. Farkle and Lucas exhaled and took their shirts off revealing their muscles. Woah. Wait how did I not notice Farkle had abs.......and actual muscles. It was actually really....sexy..... Wait stop no your supposed to make them want you... I glanced over at Riley and saw she was practically drooling. The boys noticed this and they began to tease us back. "Hey Farkle nice abs you got there..." Lucas said nudging him in the ribs. Farkle chuckled and said "yea I've been working on it" and flexed his abs. He then stopped and then gestured to Lucas' muscles and said " but hey looks like you've been working on your biceps over here...." Lucas made a showcase of flexing his muscles and said "you could say that" I shook Riley "snap out of it Riley that's what they want" Riley shook her head and said "your right". Once the boys stopped showcasing their muscles they then said "let's finish up here" we nodded and continued to play. Whoever got to 10 wins and so far the boys were in the lead. Farkle and Lucas made a point now entering the 9 point range. We had 8 and they had 9....... We sighed once again and looked up at them hopefully. Maybe they'll feel bad. They smirked. Nope they don't, maybe all the smack talk didn't help. I look at them and say "your gonna make us take our pants off....?!" With big eyes trying to look as innocent as I could. It worked immediately. "Woah woah you don't have to-" "no it's ok we have to we understand...." Riley said cutting in. We inwardly smiled to ourselves. We then took our pants off and Farkle and Lucas closed their eyes mortified. Me and Riley began laughing. I had put in basketball shorts under my pants because Riley told me we might need to layer up. So she lent me some shorts to wear. Lucas and Farkle peeked from their hands and they had a face of confusion. "What...?!" They exclaimed suprised we had shorts on. "Why do you have basketball shorts on...?" Lucas asked. "Yea....that was unexpected...." Farkle agreed. Me and Riley began laughing again "boy you guys must be eager to see us with no pants on....." I said teasing them. They turned red and placed their hands strategically in front of their pants. I was gonna die from laughter. "Ok ok ha ha" Farkle said sarcasm dripping with every word. We continued the game and the boys were just out of it from there. We won we actually won!!! Me and Riley began jumping around from happiness. Then we hear a THUD. We glance over to the noise and see that Farkle and Lucas had fainted. Oh boy. We then realized it was because we were jumping that they had fainted. We roll out eyes and walk over to them. We began looking around for something to splash on them. I found water and poured it on their faces. Nothing. I leaned into both of them. "Huh-I thought they would wake-" their eyes snapped open. "AHH" they yell. "AHHHHH!!" I scream standing up shaking. "oh my god!" Riley yelled. "Wha-what happened?" Farkle asked panting. "And why are our faces wet...?" Lucas asked also trying to catch his breath from being startled. I was frozen. I have NEVER been startled like this before. Riley began explaining what happened and I could hear Farkle mumble "I thought it was just a really good dream...." Lucas nodded and said "I can still feel it" Farkle nodded. They then glanced at me. I was still frozen in the same position I had been since they had scared me. My hands were near my fave and my mouth was still open and my eyes were still shut and I could still feel myself shaking. The boys got up and Riley stepped closer to me. "Is she ok...?" Lucas asked observing me in my state. Farkle leaned in taking note of my state also. Riley looked worried. "Farkle what happened.....?" She asked him. "Hmm..." He wondered aloud. "I think she is in half state of shock she can hear and see us but she's not really responding, either she can't move or she doesn't want to". I blinked. "Well atleast she's reacting...." Lucas reasoned. I felt like something was holding me in place and it wouldn't let me go. I tried to escape the feeling but it continued to grasp my body's limbs. Then out of nowhere it released me. I fell forward as it felt like it had pushed me. I let out my breath that I didn't know I was holding. What happened....? And second of all they scared me they actually managed to scare me and I have never been scared before..... "Maya...?" I hear. I look up to see I was laying on Riley's lap. "You ok peaches?" I nod and get up still shooken up about what happened. Then Lucas and Farkle grabbed clothes off the floor and handed it to us. We looked at it as we saw it was our shirts. "As much as I would like to continue to stare and pretend like there isn't a problem I can't..." Farkle said handing me my shirt as Lucas handed Riley her shirt. I numbly accepted the shirt and stayed quiet. Riley did the same but I'm a more cheerful way. Everyone was walking back up and carried along conversations except me. I was just shocked I don't know why I am making this a big deal but this alarms me. I should never be scared, being scared gets you now where and in some circumstances killed. My part of the neighborhood is no joke, I was one time scared walking back to my apartment because I felt someone was following me turns out there was but by then I had started running and telling each person that went by to help me, which resulted in gunshots being fired. That was the worst day of my life and I never told my mom about it. I was 10 then and from that day I vowed I would never be scared for my life's sake, but here I am and I broke that vow. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I looked up to see it was Farkle. He smiled nervously and noticed my expression "hey are you ok?" I nodded. "You don't seem like it..." He pushed. I changed my demeanor to a smiley one like Riley's. "I am! I'm just thinking about how sad-um you must be for loosing....yea!" I say thinking of something to bring up my sad demeanor. He chuckled and said "yea yea whatever I'm used to loosing....". I kiss his cheek and he smiles at me. I smile back. I feel bad for lying to him but I need to do it for myself. No more being scared. I felt a tap and Riley's face popped out of nowhere "AH!" I yell jumping back into Farkle. He grabs me from behind and asked "what happened?!" I move my hair from my face panting. "Maya are you sure you're ok?" Riley asked walking towards me. I swallow the lump in my throat and nod. Dammit I got scared again. Farkle helped me up and I put on my smiley face and said "let's get back to the apartment" and led the way. When we entered we immediately sat on the couch. We were exhausted. I couldn't help but think how I could have gotten scared like that..... We were all watching tv but as I tried to sit comfortably I couldn't. I felt like someone was watching me. I glance around the room casually and see that all 3 of them were staring at me. I flinched at how obvious they were being. Why are they staring at me....?! "Maya..... Are you sure you're ok? You don't look like you're ok...." Lucas said with his hand on Riley's lap. Farkle walked over and kneeled beside the recliner I was sitting on. "Maya please...." Farkle begged softly. I looked around the room suddenly becoming paranoid. They are gonna scare me. They probably think it's a joke. I won't let them think that they can win.
