CHAPTER 10

Lolita

Three weeks later

Its been three weeks now since I and Andre had the childhood talk and to say he's avoiding me is an understatement.

The only conversation we've had is just greetings and me asking him what he will we eat and it's annoying the hell out of me.

Today is Friday which means my day off and thanks to my new phone which I'm loving obsessively I get to call Sophia to pick me up. Her boyfriend is back for a few days and is letting her borrow his car.

"I'm in front of the gate" Sophia said through the phone

"I'll be there in a minute " I said hanging up

I quickly packed few clothes I recently bought with my first pay check a week ago and headed outside.

"I'm off Maria!" I yelled because I didn't know where she was

"Okay dear...take care" she said as she emerged from the balcony

"Bye!"

I met Sophia at the front and got into the car tossing my bag to the back seat.

"How was your week?" She asked as she put the key in the ignition and drove off.

"Same.."

"Its that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"Good" I said with a smile " so how has the bar been without me?"

"Shitty...the new cook is annoying and keeps yelling over everything "

"Really?" I asked laughing

"Yes...the only thing keeping her it's that her food is okay, nothing like yours of course...I mean even Pablo hates her"

"She must be scary then"

"Scary indeed...we are here" she said pulling over in front of the breakfast cafe/ bar

We both came down from the car as Carlos walked out from the bar as he hugged Sophia and place a kiss on her lips

Urggh

"Hi Carlos " I said as I went to hug him

"Hey Lolita" he said hugging me back "long time eh"

"Yeah..how has school been?" I asked

"Great and stressful" he replied "its okay though"

"Thats nice to hear" I said

"Lolita...I and Carlos are going to head out for a bit hope you don't mind " Sophia said

"No problem guys, you don't have to ask me for permission "

"I don't want you to feel bad since I'm taking her away, I know it's your day off and you guys need to catch up and stuff" Carlos said

"Oh come on...I get to see her whenever I want... you guys deserve to spend more time together since you aren't around much" I said

"Thanks Lolita " Carlos said

"No need Carlos... now go have fun love birds"

"Thanks Lolita " Sophia said hugging me

"No need girl...now off you go" I said as she got into the car with Carlos and drove off to wherever they were going.

I entered into the bar and was welcomed with new faces, apparently I arrived late missing Pablo and Marissa's shift. I responded to their greetings and headed for the store room or rather my room. I took a shower and fell asleep with the same nightmares.
