I woke up sweating I always have the dreams but each one scarier than the last I touched my face and realize I have been crying again. I looked outside the sun was set time to get to work I guess. I folded the blanket on my bed that was the only thing i took after I left.

At age 20 I live in the storeroom of a well known bar/breakfast place owned by Mrs Rodriguez, she is a lovely woman who took me in after she found me sleeping in front of it two years ago and since then I work for her in exchange for shelter and a good monthly salary.

I pushed the door open that leads to the small bathroom after taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth I put the open sign up. Mrs Rodriguez owned a bar where people come in to smoke and drink and my job was to clean up the mess made, you will be amazed the kind of stain a beer makes and during the daytime I cook breakfast for customers. Good eh?

"Hi Lolita" I turned to see who came in and was met face to face with my best friend of two years Sophia.

Sophia was the only daughter and child of Mrs Rodriguez and also a waitress here since the bar/breakfast place was a family business.

"Hi Soph" I watched her as rubbed her eyes and muttered good before walking to the counter.

"You didn't get enough sleep?" I asked and she nodded "Tell me about it " I said merely a whisper

"Let me guess you stayed up all night talking to Carlos right?" i said.The hint of red was proof enough.

"Oh come on don't give that look" she said trying to cover her blush.

Carlos has been her boyfriend for two years he is currently in college studying Accounting he is a tall guy with lovely black hair and hazel eyes not that I have eyes for him or anything.

"It was an interesting conversation what about you how was your night?"

"Same old "

"The nighmares right?"she said looking at me with sympathy

"Now don't give me that look" I said with a smile trying to lighten things up a bit.

She noticed I didn't want to talk about it, Sophia was the only one who knew about them ever since I had a sleep over at her house I was screaming and ended up breaking down telling her everything.

"You know if you just stayed with us it will be much easier to handle don't you think?" she said.

This will probably be the hundredth time she has asked me to moved in with her and her mom but I don't like the idea of imposing that much on them I mean they pay me monthly, feed me and give me shelter that should be enough right?
"We both know I won't right?" I said looking at her smiling

"Of course" she said rolling her eyes
"I won't give up though" she said as she tied her apron

"I know"

Mr Rodriguez owned the bar before he died from cancer five years ago so Mrs Rodriguez turned it to a breakfast cafe and kept the bar at night in memory of her late husband.

I do the cooking in the kitchen while Pablo one of the employees does the coffee and boy is he good at it and Sophia and Marissa do the serving.

"Hello everyone" said Pablo and Marissa as they strolled in.

They are both twins but totally opposites of each other, Pablo is a sweet romantic while Marissa is more like a rebel.. you can tell from her red firing hair and amount of piercings and tattoos she has.

Like how many do you need girl?

They both graduated from high school last three months and are working here part time.

"What's up"

"Hi"

"How are you Loli?" Pablo said giving me his sleek charming smile.
Oh yeah did i mention he has a crush on me like a super duper crush but I don't roll that way I mean the dude's 18 and I'm like 20

"Good"I replied

"I'm happy you are" he said winking at me and heading over to the coffee machine

"Give up dude it won't happen" said Marissa

"In your dreams rissa"he said earning a glare from her, he fully knows she hates being called that.

"Lets get started guys" said Sophia

Here we go

"Mehn.. I'm tired " said Marissa as she rubbed her neck

"Speak for yourself I had to flip pancake and eggs non stop " I said

"Do you need a massage Loli?" Pablo asked

"No I'm good thanks though"

"Anytime babe"he said winking.I swear that guy has to have sand in his eye with the way he winks.

"Check this out guys " Sophia said as motioned to her phone. On it read "Maid wanted...should be 18 and above and able to clean and cook well "

"Could be a scam " Pablo said "why are you even showing this to us?"

"Well because Lolita has been asking me to help her out with a job" said Sophia

"What!!" Pablo exclaimed "why do you need another job?"
"Well I have to pay for college somehow you know" I said earning a sad look from him
"Oh" he said "I thought Mrs Rodriguez was helping you out on that"
"Trust Lolita to refuse mom's offer" she said "So are you going for it because the deadline for the job ends this week"Sophia said

"Yeah I will I just have to ask your mum if I can take the day off tomorrow " I said trying to avoid Pablo eyes

"Its all good I mean we can cover for you right Pablo? " Marissa said

"Yeah of course" he said

"I'm really sorry guys I mean if I get I promise you i will be visiting I just need to save up for my college fees and I don't want to have to feel bad collecting Mrs Rodriguez money this is something I want to do on my own" I said feeling a bit guilty

"Its alright the only problem it's what are you gonna wear tomorrow for the interview " Sophia said

"Thats not a problem soph" said Marissa" "we will help her out right?"

"Oh yes!" Sophia squealed clapping her hands "Makeover day tomorrow"
