(Kumiko POV)Kakarot surveyed the area, looking around at the fallen bodies of his friends as Vegeta ranted on about how he came back from the dead just so he would be killed again. Kakarot completely ignored him and walked toward the nemekein's body. I stood behind Nappa a ways away from Vegeta still holding Gohan who was too weak to even stand on his own anymore. He checked for a pulse and kept his face blank yet stern the the entire time. He muttered to himself as he pulled away and looked around again.
"What happened to him?" Gohan looked down sadly.
"He died, trying to protect me from them." Gohan stated sadly. I could only stare at my baby brother in slight awe and shock. He was different than I had imagined. He was something else entirely. He glanced around the battlefield spotting and lingering on the bodies of each of the fallen earthlings and up at me for a second before Nappa spoke up.
"Does seeing these losers dead send your blood presser though the roof?" He questioned arrogantly. "There was another one around here but I guess there wouldn't be much of him now." Nappa laughed and I felt my brother's anger leap. I didn't know how but I could feel his anger and if I wasn't mistaken his energy. I almost had it in me to smirk but given the gravity of the situation I knew better of it. Nappa just kept pushing him and I took a step back. Kakarot shot me a quick look and I stopped. I forgot I was still holding his son. I stopped but showed no fear of him. He was strong yes but I still doubted he was stronger than me. Or at very least would attack me at all. Kakarot looked back to Nappa and started to walk forward. I let out a small smile and whispered to myself.
"He doesn't stand a chance." Gohan shot his head up to look at me.
"No way my dad is super strong! He'll win for sure." I smirked down at Gohan.
"Wasn't talking about him." I stated a small grin on my face. Gohan looked at me confused and looked back at the others. Nappa might be strong in his own rights, but Kakarot was on an entirely other level. Nappa laughed on as Kakarot sill looked impassively on not seeming the slightest bit detoured. Nappa finally took a step forward and threw a punch at Kakarot. My smile grew into grin as he seemingly vanished. I gave a small wistful smile. My baby brother. Then He appeared in front of me. I still gave him a small smile as he looked at me sternly as if debating on trusting me. he looked down at Gohan and scanned his injuries. All this time I had been using my own energy to heal him so he was mostly fine now.
"Gohan," He began glancing up at me. "Who is she." I didn't say anything. It was best someone he trusted told him instead of me. Gohan looked up at me then back at his father.
"She's okay dad. She protected me." Kakarot shot me a great-full look for a moment before walking past me and motioning for me to follow. I did so without question still trying to heal Gohan. We came over to the human who's name I finally learned. Krillin. Kakarot smiled softly at them before speaking to them softly.
"Hey sorry I took so long, but you guys really held your own out there huh?" I was taken back be the kindness in his voice at first. It had been actual centuries since I had heard anything close to that level of care in someone's words. My heart warmed at the sight. I never even knew I had missed him until that very moment and I was glad I had found him. Kakarot pulled a small green bean(ha green-bean) and held it out to his friend and Gohan. I set Gohan on the ground having bettered all of his major wounds. Krillin and Gohan looked shocked at he was able to stand on his own.
"Gohan, how are you even standing right now?" Gohan looked down at himself in shock.
"All the pain is gone. How?" Kakarot looked up at me his face blank once again.
"Did you have something to do with this?" Both Gohan and Krillin look up at me to as a I nodded my head. Krillin stuttered out a how in complete shock.
"Female saiyans are rarely actually fighters. Most are healers, like my mother. I learned from the best and then was sent off to help protect them." I gestured to Vegeta. "Out off all of our race I was the only one that excelled in both healing and combat." I explained. Kakarot gave a quick nod and held out two halves of the bean one to Krillin and one to Gohan. Both protested and Krillin asked Kakarot to take it. He said that he had had one already and to my surprise Gohan suggested giving one to me. I declined quickly. I hadn't fought yet and healing Gohan didn't take up that much energy. I moved next to Krillin and placed a hand on his back gently. Slowly I pushed my energy into him and healed all of his major injuries.
"There," I stated as I stepped back and he was able to sit up. "I've dealt with all of your major injuries. Now if I am not mistaken that little half should heal you both completely." They all looked at me in awe, except Kakarot. Gohan and Krillin both ate their half and were fully restored. Kakarot marveled at his friend's power before he told him that compared to the saiyans it was nothing. Not paying much mind to the warning of his friend Kakarot looked to his son and speak to him as well. I took a step back knowing I was not part of the little reunion and not wanting to spoil their little moment. Krillin then started getting pumped as he played out the odds of all of us being able to stop the others. i gave a small smile when he even looked at me, including me in the mix. sadly kakarot shot down his plan right away saying it was his fight. I felt a bit of the same annoyance that felt with Radits so many times before. I rolled my eyes. Great another dense brother. I took a a step closer to him wanting to have at least some input.
"Hey what about me? Don't get a place in this fight?" I questioned with just a dash of snark. Kakarot looked back at me the blankness in his face gone and replace with softness.
"No, First off you're close to them, so there is no way to know if you would hold back on them or not. Second, I happen to know that you've used up a good bit of your energy to help us already." I looked away upset he had noticed. He sensed my power level. Great. The other two also tried to talk their way into fighting with him but he shut them down just like he did me.
"Now miss," He looked at me seeming to be addressing me. I was slightly taken back by being called miss but let it go quickly before acting. "I would like to ask you to help them back to Kame house. I want you to keep them safe for me." I looked at the two of them for a moment before meeting Kakarot's eyes. I nodded once and picked up Gohan again before following Krillin and flying off. As we got a distance away I felt power surge from the where we just were. Krillin stopped too and looked back. It was Kakarot. We waited a bit to catch a gimps of his strength. We watched as the petty fight began.
