Waking Up

(Kumiko POV)

I started to come to. The first thing I was conscious of was the noise. People rushing around a building. There was some yelling, some crying and more beeping noises than I cared to count. Slowly I narrowed down my surroundings to the room I was in. It was quite despite the beeping noises that were next to me and the breathing of one other person. My nose stung with the smell of chemicals. I was in some kind of place for healing. I think the places were called hospitals on this planet.

I opened my eyes slowly. Everything was white. I frowned deeply. I disliked the plain color. My body burned and aced with pain even as I turned my head to the side. Outside a window it was dark so I guessed it was night. There was a bed next to me and when I looked closely I realized it was Kakarot. I then knew I had lost to Vegeta. I didn't remember much after what happened to Nappa but I could put the pieces together. I smirked at my baby brother as I knew he had at very least driven Vegeta off.

I slowly lifted myself up off my bed with great effort wincing in pain every now and again. I pulled out the needles from my skin and shut of the machine that was registering my heart rate. I was glad when I saw I still had my tail. I would have been sad if I had lost it. With one final look at Kakarot I limped out of the room and to the only place I knew of that would give me any solace.

(3rd POV) Still in the room

Chichi was the first to arrive in the morning to the hospital. Goku was still fast asleep and the doctors hadn't quite finished their morning rounds. When Chichi walked into the room she tried hard not to smile at the face of her sleeping husband but ultimately failed. She only shook her head and say in the chair next to his bed. While pulling out her knitting supplies she realized that something was a little off. Looking over Goku quickly she knew it wasn't him. But the bed next to his was empty. Chichi froze. She had been told this woman was dangerous and powerful. Frantically she scanned the room as if maybe she had missed her when she walked in. To her dismay the room was empty.

Slightly fearful chichi tapped her husband lighting trying to wake him up. Slowly the saiyan did begin to awaken and she hissed at him lightly.

"Goku, that woman, she's gone."
