It didn't take too many more akuma attacks before Marinette's eyesight returned completely. Rather than simple shadows, basic shapes, and blurry figures, Marinette was now able to see perfectly well. In fact, her eyesight might have even improved since the time before she went blind. She was able to read the smallest of print both near and far from her. Marinette could put a clear, detailed face to the voices she came to know or even revisit some old friendly ones. Tikki had theorized that Lucky Charm, Ladybug's specialty power, was what had caused Marinette's eyes to become miraculously healed. She believed that each time Ladybug had used her unique power, a small percentage of her vision would return.

For the longest time, Marinette was in pure disbelief. She believed for all of it to be some delusional dream of hers. After all, the doctors had told her that it was physically impossible for any of her vision to recover. Adrien, supporting Marinette throughout everything, was determined to prove to her that she was getting better and that she was not thinking irrationally. He assumed that just any specialist would be enough; Marinette needed the best of the best to confirm what the two already knew. Since Gabriel Agreste would never settle for anything other than perfection, Adrien had begged him for the money to allow Marinette an appointment with Adrien's very own ophthalmologist.  To Adrien's surprise, his father had willingly allowed it, seeing that the girl made Adrien so happy.

The ophthalmologist was more than astonished after the teenagers had explained the entire situation (leaving out anything related to the miraculouses, of course). The doctor explained to them both how it should have been completely impossible, but that Marinette must have come across some miraculous miracle. After the appointment, Marinette then began to share the wonderful news with others. She did not want to give her parents, or anyone else, false hope. Adrien was overjoyed to stand beside Marinette as she shared the magnificent news with her mother and father. Tears fell from the adults' eyes as they pulled the two teenagers into a tight hug.

Everything would soon begin to change for the better. Marinette's daily activities should become much simpler and take less time. Designing clothing and going to school would be almost too easy for her. Given a new chance at life, Marinette decided to no longer take anything for granted. She would be the best ordinary citizen and extraordinary Ladybug that she could possibly be. For giving Marinette her eyesight back, she owed Paris everything.
