A Month Later

I Pulled Out My Phone, And Hit Zero's Contact For A FaceTime Call. He Answered, And It Looked Like He's Laying On The Couch. I Smiled And Brushed A Strand Of Hair Out Of My Face.

"How's The Tour Going?" He Asked.

"Wonderful. Every Time I Set Foot On That Stage, It's A New Rush." I Explained.

"Yeah, I Know That Feeling. Once I Couldn't Do Anymore Concerts I Tried To Fulfill That Same Experience With Those Drugs I Used To Take. Every Hit Is Different But You're Always Trying To Get That First Good High." Zero Admitted.

"It's Good That You're A Month Clean Now."

"All Thanks To You." Zero Stated. "I Have A Surprise For You."

I Sat On The Edge Of The Hotel Bed, And Looked At The Screen Intently.

"What Is It?" I Asked, Excitingly.

Zero Sat The Phone Face Up, And I Heard Shuffling. A Couple Seconds Later, He Showed Me Fluffy.

"Oh My God, How'd You Get Her?" I Asked Curiously.

"It Was Like Pulling Teeth At Your House. I Was Also Bombarded With Questions, But I Took Fluffy And Went Straight Here. Of Course She Doesn't Like Me Yet, But She's Warming Up. She Even Scratched Me." He Explained.

I Chuckled Lightly.

"I Have To Go Work On My Last Album Of My Career---"

"You Always Make It Sound Dramatic." I Teased.

"Well, It Is. I'll Call You Later."

I Nodded, And Ended The Call.

I Got Off Of The Bed, And Took Care Of My Hygiene. I Have Six Hours Before My Next Concert Starts, And I'm Not In The Right Head Space. I Want Zero To Be Here With Me. I Actually Have An Idea About Something. I Can Have Zero Make A Song With Me On His Album For A Closing Song. I Just Have To Figure Out What It'll Be About.

I Pulled Out My Phone To Text Carey. She Was Supposed To Be Over Here An Hour Ago. The Door Opened And Carey Stepped In With Two Bags.

"Girl, I Was Out Doing My Thing, Don't Rush Me." Carey Said As She Sat The Bags Down.

I Chuckled.

     "What'd You Get?" I Asked.

Carey Sat Next To Me, And Pulled Out IceCream And Liquor.

"That's Something That Won't Go Together." I Commented.

Carey Opened The IceCream, And Poured The Liquor Inside. She Closed The Lid And Shook It Up.

"Have You Even Tried It?" She Asked. "We Need A Spoon."

I Got Up And Grabbed Two Spoons. I Gave Her Spoon To Her, And She Ate A Piece.

"Mmhm. Girl You Have To Try It." She Said As She Licked Her Lips.

I Tucked My Spoon In, And Gave It A Try. I Got A Fulfilling Sensation.

"It's...Different." I Admitted.

"See, I Told You." Carey Said As She Went For Her Second Bite.

Zero

I Made A Beat With My First Verse Of The Song. I Want To Sing The Chorus Part. Nobody Has Really Heard My Singing Voice But Since This Is My Last Album Why The Hell Not? I Began To Think About What I'm Going To Sing. It Hit Me. I Ran Into The Studio And Began To Sing Those Words.

This Is My Life Story/
And This Is My Life/
I'll Never Back Down, I'll Have To Fight/
I Have To Reach For The Light/
Whatever Life Throws At Me, That's What It's Going To Be/
I'll Still See My Bright Future Ahead Of Me.

I Saved That Recording Then Layered It With Some Vocals And A Little Echo Behind It. I Placed All That Together To See What It Sounds Like. All I Need Now, Is The Last Part.

I Would Try To Give Y'all Advice/
But Sometimes You'll Have To Pay The Price/
You Might Feel Alone/
Dialing Every Contact On Your Phone/
You Might Think Your Soul Is Gone/
But You Have To Keep Your Head Up/
And Face It All On Your Own.

I Saved That, Made A Little Side Note To It, Then Added Me Singing Again. But, I Added A Break Down Version Of The Beat. It All Faded Out So Perfectly, And I Let Out A WHOO!

"That's What I'm Talking About." I Said As I Burned A Disc And Made Digital Copies.
I'll Have To Make This Song My Single, And Everything Else Is Just The Album. London's Cat Walked Downstairs And Stared At Me. I Squinted My Eyes.

"You Always Have A Problem With Me, What's Up?" I Asked As I Stood Up.

Fluffy Charged At Me, And I Fell To The Ground. She Began To Nibble At My Clothes, Then Laid Down On My Chest.

"All Of That To Lay On Me." I Commented As I Laughed.

London

I Laid On Carey's Stomach And Gazed At The Ceiling. Carey Was Going On And On About Her And Some Boy She Met At One Of My Concerts.

"Carey." I Said To Make Her Stop Talking. "How Much IceCream Did You Eat?"

Carey Began To Laugh Uncontrollably Which Made My Head Bounce Up And Down. I Rolled Off Of Her And Laid Beside Her.

"I Have A Question For You." She Said As She Turned On Her Side To Face Me.

"What Is It?"

"What Is Your Favorite Body Part On Zero?" She Asked.

"I Don't Know." I Answered.

"Bullshit, I Know You Know What It Is." Carey Exploded.

"Fine." I Lowered My Voice. "His Mouth."

"WHOO! Y'all Are Some Freaks."

"No, It's Not That. The Mouth Can Express So Many Things, And His Mouth Makes It Somewhat Easier For Me To Read Him." I Explained.

"Mmhm, Let Me Find Out You're Pregnant, I'm Gon' Kick Yo' Ass." She Joked.

I Hugged Her And Laughed.
