It's early Sunday morning and I'm awoken by desperate knocking on my door. I pull on my hoodie and put on my slippers as I adjust my glasses onto my face.
I open the door to see Namjoon with tear stained cheeks and a broken expression on his face.
"What's wr-" I begin to say but before I could finish my sentence he is collapsing in my arms, a sobbing mess. Seeing him like this breaks my heart even though I have no clue what has happened.
I don't try to move him so we sit in the hallway to the entrance of my apartment as he sobs into my neck.
"Joonie, talk to me" I whisper, my voice shaking from worry.
"It's Jimin" He begins to say. He sits in my arms sobbing as he tells me everything that happened. That Jimin is now in a coma, and Namjoon is surely going to be charged, breaking the group up. The news shocks me and as he pours out tears, I let out my own.
"Hey it's okay. We don't know for certain yet, there needs to be lot's of court things to be organised" I say trying to reassure him which just makes him cry harder.
"Namjoon please" I say. His shaking body making mine tremble from his weight. I rock him and stroke his hair, deciding to just let him let his emotions all out.
After awhile he raises his head to face me. "I love you so much" he says as he strokes my jawline.
"I'm so sorry for everything I've put you through. I'm so sorry baby" He says as he pulls onto me tighter. He strokes my lips with his fingers before attacking them with his own.
He bites and sucks hard and I let him as we make our way to the bedroom, spending the night like it's the last night we have to spend together, little did we know it would be for a long time.
The next morning the police were at my door with a warrant for Namjoon, to take him into custody as a court case was being opened due to Jimin's parents urging to press charges.
The next few months I only got to see Namjoon once or twice a week while the court was deciding on the verdict. The day before the jury came to a decision I found something out, that would change everything.
