*Chapter Thirty-Four*

~Amy's POV~

“Don't...leave,” I choked.

Rayden hugged me. For some reason, it felt surprisingly comforting. However, the thought that he was going to leave, left me unable to breathe.

“Ray.”

“Amy, I want you to remember this.”

“I don't want you to leave,” I mumbled against him. “WHY are you leaving? Leaving...me.”

I couldn't stop a single tear that slid down my cheek. I didn't realize it until Rayden gently wiped it away.

“I want you to remember this very well, Amy.”

My sight was becoming blurry, but I nodded.

“Do you believe me?”

“Of course,” I answered without a trace of hesitation.

“Do you trust me?”

“Yes.”

“Would you forget me?”

“Never, Rayden, never.”

Rayden smiled and did something I never ever thought was possible. He pressed his lips to forehead.

“Don't you EVER give up.”

“Rayden?” my voice shook a bit.“I don't understand. You sound like...”

“Where do you think you're going?”

A figure stepped out from behind the tree. I gasped and covered my mouth. She was identical to me!

On a closer look, there was something different about her. Those eyes were cold and emotionless. It seems that she has gone through a lot of things that no one else could understand except her.

“W-Who are you?”

She snorted.

“Of course you wouldn't know.”

I gaped at her. She even had the same voice as me!

“I guess Amber never told you that you had a twin sister.”

“You're lying! Mother wouldn't lie to me!”

“Amber's not the angel you think she is! The same woman who would keep one of her child with her in the castle and spoil her sent her other defenseless newborn child to another dimension!” she stopped talking and took a deep breath. “Anyways, that was the past. I just came back here to do some, let's say, damage.”

“You're not getting anywhere near her with me here,” Ray said and stepped in front of me.

The girl snorted.

“Bodyguard?” she scoffed and a disgusted look came across her face. “How weak. You have to depend on someone else to save your life.”

“I don't know who you are, but I will take care of you before you can even touch her,” Ray said calmly.

“Amethyst,” she sang, “it's kind of a shame to know that my elder sister would be too much of a coward to fight me.”

I clenched my fist.

“It was a mistake after all,” she continued. “Amber chose the wrong child to keep as a pet.”

“Ray, I'll do it,” I said through clenched teeth.
