After Isabelle came to his room crying Jace went into the libary. Maryse was in their and she said ''Oh, hi, Jace. I have to show you something.'' Jace nodded in agreement. When she showed him the angel wings and note he was mad because they didn't tell him it until the last minute, when Sebastian kidnapped Clary.

Jace couldn't stop thinking about the torture that Clary was probaly going through right now. Maryse interrupted his thoughts ''Jace you can't go out and look for Clary you have to stay in the Institute.''

  Jace argued and said ''I have to go find Clary. I love her and I don't know what I would do without her.

Maryse said '' You're going to stay here at the institute and no arguing.''

  After arguing with Maryse he went into the spare bedroom were Clary stayed. He looked forsomething of Clary's. Then he found it a hairbow that was on the nightstand. He put it in his hand and did the tracking rune. He saw pitch black. Jace did the first thing that came to mind. He opened the window and jumped.

Clary was in the kitchen with Sebastian. Sebastian was cooking. Clary figured maybe bacon or sausage. Sebastian asked Clary, ''Have you missed your big brother, Clarissa?''

Clary replied ''Why would I? Your just a murderer and someone that is despictable.''

  He replied ''What have I done to you to make you upset?''

  Clary filled with rage replied, ''For starters you killed Max, killed Hodge, possesed Jace, and you tried to make a new race of shadow hunters. I wonder why I shouldn't be mad?''
