Chapter 16

(Tommy's POV)

I plunged down onto the rocky shore and I hoped that I would die. I am not strong enough to live without Gracie. I slipped into the cold water and it felt like needles sticking all throughout my skin. I held my breath under the water. All I could think about in my mind was my mate. I pictured her again and I then realized I could actually smell her. But I couldn't get up. I had a rock on my chest. I tried and tried to get the rock off and I just couldn't. I tried to shift but no luck. I was trapped.

Was I going to make it?

(Gracie's POV)

I slid down the side of the mountain on my feet. I tried to get as close as I could get to the water. I saw someone at the bottom of the lake, or something. I just saw a figure. I leaned closer and realized that it was a man. I dove into the water and I tried not to hit the rocks. I was in the ice water and I searched around and saw the guy under a rock. I picked the rock up with all of my might. That's when it happened. I shifted. I felt my body changing. My spine started moving and then I had my eyesight change. I could now see under the water. I saw the guy under the rock was Tommy. I wasn't swimming like I was before, I was doggy paddling. I tried to swim over to him but I kept rising to the top of the lake. I put all of my weight down to the bottom of the lake and I pushed the rock off of Tommy.

There were no bubbles coming from his mouth. I pushed him up on my back and I swam to the top. I pushed and pushed until I got to the shore. I hopped up on the embankment and I lied Tommy down softly. I shifted back into my human form and I leaned over by Tommy and I leaded my ear against his chest. He wasn't breathing.

I pushed my two hands together and put them onto his chest, then started doing CPR. I pushed and pushed onto his chest. He wasn't waking up. I started yelling.

"HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!"

I was still trying to get Tommy to wake up. I started crying. A tear rolled down my face as I kissed Tommy's lips. They were still warm. I started to shake Tommy and he wouldn't budge. I started doing mouth to mouth resuscitation. I did that for maybe 20 seconds and then I heard something. Tommy spat up water and he started coughing. He leaned up and he wrapped his arms around me.

"Baby, I missed you." I whispered into his ear.

"I- I'll love yo-you fore-forever." Tommy mumbled.

"You're not going anywhere baby." I told him.

"I am not gonna make it." He said falling back onto the ground.

"Don't talk like that." I said. "I'm going to get help. I'll be right back."

I tried shifting into a werewolf but I didn't know how. I tried and tried. It wasn't letting me. I started running, not realizing that it was 20 degrees outside and I was naked. I ran and ran until I came up to someone's house. I darted up the stairs and I knocked on the door. An old man came to the door and he looked down at my breasts. I tried to ignore that and I asked, "May I get a blanket and may I use your phone?"

"Yes, ma'am." He said turning around and he went to a closet. He grabbed the thickest blanket and he handed it to me.

He showed me to the phone and he told me to take a seat. I started to dial my dad's number. He was a doctor, he could help.

"Hello?" I heard on the phone.

"Dad?" I asked.

"No, its your mother...Whats wrong sweetie?"

"I need to talk to dad now. It's important."

"Okay hun." I heard my mother say before she handed the phone to my father.

"Hello?" my dad asked.

"Dad, I am at Blue Falls. My boyfriend almost drowned I need your help."

"BOYFRIEND?!" my dad yelled.

"No time for that. Please hurry." I said before putting the phone down.

I fixed the blanket so that the old man wasn't looking at me. I ran my fingers through my nappy hair and I picked the phone back up. I dialed Morgan's number and it kept going to her voice mail. I then dialed Brent's number and he didn't pick up either.

I was worried. I put the phone back on the hook and i fixed the blanket so it wouldnt fall and i ran to the cliff. I slid down onto the embankment and Tommy was gone.
