A/N the picture has nothing to do with this chapter other than the Mirror of Erised. I just find it funny af
"Come on! Come on!" Harry whispered, tugging Petunia into the classroom. He was bouncing with excitement after he had told Petunia what he had seen last night. Petunia was excited as well, she still had no idea what even her parents looked liked, let alone her entire family. Harry quickly pulled off the robe and pushed Petunia in front of the mirror."Well, do you see them?" Asked Harry as Petunia's face went slack.
"Um-uh n-no." Petunia stuttered, staring at her reflection.
Harry looked shocked. "What? What do you see then?" He asked.
Petunia continued to stare at herself, the reflection showing her as she wished she could be.
"I-I'm standing like I am now, but I-I don't have my gloves on." A tear leaked from her eye. "Or my necklace. I'm holding hands with somebody a-and they're fine." She gasped, looking at the face of a smiling girl. Her face seemed familiar, but Petunia didn't know how. Her white robes matched Petunia's and her thumb rubbed the back of her reflections hand, who was smiling as big as she could.
"What? That's it?" Harry asked, eyes popping out. Petunia sniffed, nodding without tearing her eyes from the scene.
"Ye-yes." She couldn't stop crying.
"Wow, just take your gloves off if you want it that much." Harry retorted, pushing Petunia out the way so he could see his family. Petunia allowed him to, not wanting to ever see the lies that mirror told her again.
After an hour they snuck back into the common room and she told Harry to never take her to that mirror again. What she didn't let him know is because it was to painful for her.
