Petunia had been feeling very light and much more confident, to her professors dismay, since the incident in the dungeons last week. But, as always, life gives out reality checks. She was just talking about how strangely Snape acted around Petunia when George and Fred slid into the seats on either side of her. Petunia didn't trust their large grins.
"Hey Pete, our favourite adopted sister who we love and have some dirt on." George said, putting his arm around her shoulders.
"What do you need." Petunia sighed, putting her spoon down. She shared a look with Hermione across the table before looking at George's grinning face.
Fred gave George a thumbs up.
"Not much," George winked at Fred, pulling a package from his pocket. "We just want you to sneak this into the girls bathroom."
Petunia took it hesitantly, surprised by its weight. "This better not be a camera" She stated, moving to look in the package.
"Um, you might want to not look in there." Fred said, closing the bag. "Also once your done you should get out of the bathroom-"
"-as fast as you can." George said, winking once again at Fred. "Also do it before supper. Thanks our sister-"
"From another mister!" Fred finished.
"Bye!" They said and stood up in sync.Petunia watched them walk away. "Seriously, those two creep me out sometimes with how alike they are." She muttered, looking over at a scowling Hermione.
"You better not be putting that in the toliets." Hermione stated, her voice hard.
Petunia raised her brow. "Of course I am. Those two wouldn't actually put a camera in the bathroom, I was joking."
Hermione looked shocked. "But pranks are against the rules!"
"Hermione, it's a small prank! All that's going to happen is somebody's gonna get angry at Fred and George and maybe a detention or two for them. Big deal." She shrugged, pocketing the package. Hermione's eyes bulged out of her face. Suckling in a huge breath she started to lecture Petunia on the 'big deal' that is breaking the rules.
All through day she nagged Petunia, until December decided to side with her. When Hermione found that they both believed it was just a small prank, she elected to ignore the duo. No matter how hard they tried, Hermione would not utter a word in their direction unless they apologised and gave up the prank. Of course, they didn't.
"Jeez, she can be a real pain in the neck sometimes." December said, holding open the door to the bathroom for Petunia.
"Yeah, but she means well. It's the Gryffindor in her." Petunia commented, pulling the package out of her pocket. "Don't budge on what you believe is right, that's the Gryffindor way."
"Yeah, Hufflepuff's way is "Make sure the playing fields equal". Those teachings are a bit different." December chuckled, watching as Petunia opened the package. She quickly dumped the contents- a dark blue powder- into the nearest toliet and ran to the door with December at her side.
When they made it to their seats at the Great Hall, panting slightly but otherwise looking natural, a loud boom resounded throughout the castle. They glanced at each other from their separate tables but went on the rest of their meal like normal. Hermione looked appalled by Petunia's smirk as she discreetly high fived the twins.
This was a start of a long and beautiful pranking trio.
