Chapter 10

Katniss P.O.V.

"Katniss you want more?" Mr Mellark asks me.

I'm currently sitting with Peeta's family around their dinner table, it's lunch time and I'm eating mr Mellark's delicious sausage casserole. I mean seriously, the dud cooks magic. I so wish I could be a good cool, like Peeta, mr Mellark and my mom and even my dad but I'm terrible, absolutely terrible. I once almost poisoned myself. I may be good at a lot of things, but cooking is not one of those things.

"Oh please", I say and hold up my plate.

Sam and Kathy are here tonight as well, with their little daughter. Everyone are so mesmerised by her eyes and her whole appearance, it's crazy. She's so beautiful. She looks like an angel. And no I don't use that as a pick up line, when I say this it's because it's totally true. But there's a catch.

"So you still haven't found a name for her?" Peeta asks, since this is now the topic.

"It's harder than it looks", Sam says.

"Oh Samuel", I sigh and shake my head, putting back my plate on the table.

"So how does it feel, school soon being over, with winter break and all and then only one semester left and then you'll be graduates", Kathy says.

Ah yes. I had a nervous breakdown about this yesterday but today I feel totally excited about this. Peeta and I and put whole gang has been accepted to the same college. Madge was really nervous because her average isn't as good as the rest of ours, but apparently it was enough for her to get into Brown with the rest of us so she's the happiest one I'd assume. And Gale of course.

"I mean, it feels great", I say. "But I'm longing more for winter break to be honest".

I look at Peeta smiling. His whole family, Sam and Kathy and the baby included, together with me and my family are going on a vacation together. Yes that's right. We're going to Gran Canaria. And oh God in longing so much, we're going to have so much fun. And it's the first time our families are going on vacation together.

"Ah yes that's right, only two weeks left until we fly", Sam says. "To the warmth and leave the cold".

"Samwise we know you love the warmth", I say.

Samwise is my nickname for Sam. I've been calling him Samwise since I was 9 and read the Lord of the Rings for the first time and totally thought that Samwise Gamgi was the true hero, I mean I still do. Sam was like a big brother to me back then and still is, and somewhat of a hero since he once threatened a kid for tripping me, making me hit my forehead on a stone and starting to bleed. So ever since I've been calling him Samwise and he loves it. Peeta thinks it's hilarious though, which is why he start laughing right now.

"But seriously it's going to be so much fun", Kathy says. "A little hard with a baby but still so much fun".

"Aww come on we'll all help you with her", I say. "You know that".

"Of course", Sam says. "But God a baby on a plane will be a nightmare".

"Oh Samwise, always complaining", I sigh.

"I do not!" He says.

"Hah you do too! Always always always", I say.

"She's right", Kathy says, and Sam looks horrified. "But I love you anyway".

After dinner, Peeta and I are just lying around in his room, talking about pretty much everything. What our apartment will look like when we're in college, our first house, our wedding, our children, yes everything. We talk about this stuff, and at first I thought it would make Peeta nervous because let's face it, Peeta is a teenage boy, and they usually don't like talking about these stuff.
