Joey ran to my side, and shook my shoulder. I didn't respond, I just stood there speechless. I didn't notice Jake walking into the room. He picked up my phone. He was reading the text messages. I quickly snapped out of it, and grabbed my phone from Jake, but it was too late; he already read the texts. He gave me a plain look. He said, "don't listen to that crap." I rolled my eyes, and responded, "but what if they actually hurt you."

Before I could do anything, Joey took my phone away from me. He read the text messages, he put it on the bed. He seemed frustrated, but he didn't say anything. Joey spoke, "don't worry about us, we can protect ourselves. Don't give them the money. They will only keep threatening you if you do." I nodded, they were right. I can't let the people who hate me control me. They can't blackmail me either.

"I should be getting home. Jake is it ok if you drive me home??" Jake agreed, and he left to get ready. Joey started pulling out some papers, and handing them to me. "Those are the things you missed." I looked at him, and smiled. "Thank you, Joey. You're the best boyfriend ever." I kissed his cheek which caused him to blush. God, he was so adorable.

I placed the papers in my bag before leaving Joey's room. Jake picked up the keys when he saw me walking out of Joey's room. We walked outside, and got into his car. It was a silent drive to my house, we didn't say a single word. He drove into the parking lot. I was about to open the door, but Jake locked the doors. He spoke, "you can't let things like that control you, we can go to the police station if you want." I replied, "it's ok, I don't think it would be necessary Jake." I heard him sigh before the car locks clicked, indicating that the car doors are unlocked.

I opened the door, and walked out. As soon as I walked inside the house, Sam looked up from the T.V. He looked at me from head to toe before speaking, "who were you with?? Wait a minute, were you with that Jake guy?? Have you been sleeping with Jake?! Oh my god, I can't believe you." My look hardened, I was glaring at him. "Yes, I was with Jake, but I definitely didn't sleep with him. He's not that kind of guy Sam!" Before Sam could reply, I ran upstairs to my room, and slammed the door shut. What the hell has gotten into Sam?? He was never like this before high school started, he is acting like a duche bag.

Why did Sam hate Jake so much?? Did Sam know about Jake's street fighting?? I pushed the thoughts aside, and pulled out the sheets Joey gave me. Might as well get a start on these bad boys. There was only a total of three sheets: two for science, and one for math. Math was my favorite subject, so I decided to start with math. Most of the stuff we're doing in math is just review, it only took me 30 minutes total to finish the worksheet.

Next was my science. The first unit we were doing was physics. The worksheets were about series and parallel circuits. It was about how current and voltage flow through each circuit. In the series circuit the current is all the same, but the voltage adds up. In a parallel circuit the voltage is all the same, but the current adds up. So basically it's vice verse. I quickly filled in the sheets.

I was tucking the worksheets carefully, but my door slammed open. My head snapped up, and my brother was standing there. He looks very pissed off if you ask me. His next words made me want to smack him, he said, "mom and dad are home." I just gave him a plain look, "so??" He glared at me, "and they have guests, so move it." I pouted, before replying, "can I just stay here?? Please, why do I need to get dressed??" He responded, "their son is here, and my parents want you to be friends with him."

I opened my mouth to reply, but Sam just left. Jerk. I looked down, I was still wearing the clothes that I wore to the fighting arena. I decided to go simple, I changed into black leggings and an orange crop top with the words "Pizza Is MY Bae!!" In bold letters. I slipped on my flip flops before heading downstairs.

My foster mom was in the kitchen, she was putting something simple together. I walked in, and hugged her from behind. "Do you need help setting up??" I asked, she replied, "sure honey. Can you go grab the drink from the fridge??" Opening the door to the fridge, I quickly saw the drink. It was mango juice. Mm, sounds so good. I'm glad I came downstairs. Mango juice is my love. Who doesn't love mango juice??

Mum had set out 7 cups, so I went ahead and filled them up with mango juice. My mom had two trays. I put the remaining mango juice in the fridge. When I walked back to my mom, she had two glasses in one tray, and all the others in the other tray. She placed a small bowl with fruits in it and two forks in the same tray she put only two glasses in. Then placed a big bowl of fruits in the other tray.

"Take this tray upstairs to your room, I'll send the son straight up," she told me. I nodded my head, and grabbed the tray, walking to the staircase. My mom went to the living room as I went upstairs to my room. I gently placed the tray on the beside table. I felt someone's presence behind me, so I turned around. The guy was so close to me, he was tall. I couldn't see his face. "Um, can you like get out of my personal bubble, please??" He took a tiny step back, I barely saw his face. To be honest, I think I was better off not seeing his face. When he saw my face, he smirked.

I placed my hands on his chest, and tried to shove him back. But he placed his hands on either side of me on the bedside table, and he brought his lips close to my ear. He whispered softly into my ear, "hey there princess. Missed me??"
