The rage was totally evident on his face. My brother never got mad at me, unless I was being annoying. I had no idea why I angered him. I was looking at him for an answer when he said, " stay away from Jake." His voice was low and quiet which is way scarier than when he yells. I just stood there confused, and scared.
Sam let go of my collar and walked away as if nothing just happened. I stayed behind debating if I should go back to the table Joey and Jake were sitting at or if I should just stay away like Sam said. My brother has no right say in who I befriend or not. There was clearly something off but I ignored it.
I walked back into the cafeteria and looked over to Sam's table. He was sending daggers of anger at me. I ignored him and walked back to my seat. "Um...hey guys, I just remembered I have to do something. I'll catch up with you guys later." I lied, then I took my lunch bag and started walking away without giving them a second glance.
I walked to my locker, the halls were really quiet for my liking. When I made it to my locker there was a girl leaning against it with a smirk like a devil smacked on her face. She had blond hair, and green eyes. She was wearing a really short skirt and a crop top, which in my opinion is gross.
She made a bubble with the gum in her mouth and popped it. "I'm glad you listened to your brother, sweet cheeks," she chuckled and continued, "don't think a person like Jake will ever be friends with a stupid little girl like you." She started walking and bumped my shoulder as she passed by. I pulled out my phone holding back tears, and I texted my brother.
Me: hey, Sam??
Sam: what is it, Rose??
Me: I'm not feeling well so I'm going to go home, I have my presto from this morning.
Sam: alright, stay safe, little sis.
And with that I put my phone in my pocket. I got my bag out of my locker shoving my lunch bag in it and zipping it up. I walk out of the main doors and looking at the parked cars. There were a lot of cars, more than there was when I arrived this morning in my brother's car. There were about 50 cars now, this morning there was like 5 at least.
Instead of walking to the direction of the bus stop, I decided to go exploring. I went walking behind the school when I heard a familiar voice it seemed like he was talking on the phone. I hid behind the wall listening (in other words eavesdropping).
"What do you mean it is in four hours?! It was supposed to be tomorrow!!" I heard Jake screaming into his phone. "Fine, I'll be there. But the pay better be good, you hear me??" I heard foot steps coming in my direction, so I decided to run for my life like the coward I am.
When I was in the clear I thought to myself. What can be so important?? What was he talking about money, and it was supposed to be tomorrow?? What is he talking about?? Is this the reason Sam made me stay away?? Gosh, I feel so stupid now. How could I have trusted Jake this easily?!
With those thoughts swimming around in my head I walked down the road to the bus stop while kicking a rock. I waited what seemed about 7 minutes when the bus showed up. I got on, tapping my presto card on the machine thing, and walked down the aisle to the seats in the back. I plopped down in one seat and my bag in the one beside me plugging in my earphones listening to music.
After like ten bus stops it was my stop, I grabbed my bag and walked out mumbling, "thank you," to the bus driver. My house wasn't exactly right in front of the bus stop, I usually walk through an alley to get there. But I didn't have a good feeling so I walked past the alley. I made it to the front door of the mansion and unlocked the door.
Mom, and dad are at work right now, we didn't have a butler. Yes, you'd probably think are they crazy?? Well, no weren't. We don't like other people doing our work for us. I went up the stairs to my room, I drop my bag on the floor, then I changed into a red t-shirt, and a pair of black shorts.
I pull out my laptop from under the pillow. I know you're probably thinking who the fudge puts their laptop under their pillow?!! Welp, I do, so live with it. Then i felt my phone vibrate and I picked it up. It was a message from Jake.
Jake: where did you go?? How come you're not at school?? Are you feeling sick??
I looked at the screen. Should I answer?? Then my phone vibrated again, but it wasn't from Jake it was from an unknown number. My curiosity got the best of me, so I tapped on the unknown number.
Unknown number: Hey!! You thought you could get away from this easily, you better give us the money we asked for. How can you treat us with such disrespect, we gave birth to your ugly little ass. We brought you into the world of beauty, and THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT US?! You are such a disgrace. We should've aborted you when we had the chance.
I gasped in shock. How dare she say that to me?! I would never respect her after what she had put me through. I would never give her the money. I typed furiously.
Me: excuse me?? Who is this?? I don't think I know you. You got the wrong number.
And with that settled, I blocked her number. I had enough drama for the day. I hopped off my bed, leaving my phone there, but taking my laptop with me. I went downstairs to the kitchen, placing the laptop on the counter. I searched up how to make a banana and strawberry milkshake.
Ingredients:
-3 peeled bananas
-8 medium sized strawberries
-1/4 vanilla almond milk (or regular milk)I took the things I needed from the fridge; peeled the bananas, then I washed the strawberries. Then I cut them in halves, and put them in the blender. I pour in the vanilla almond mix. Put the cover on the blender. I began blending them together. I got a cup from one of the cupboards and a straw. When the milkshake finished I poured it into the cup and put the straw in. I place the blender into the sink.
I grab the cup, and sit on a stool in front of my laptop. I decided to open up my Facebook account. I had two friend requests, hmm I wonder from who, I thought in my head. I clicked the friend request button to see who it's from. My eyes widened in shock when I saw the two names.
