I am not amused.... at all... especially with society...
Im scrolling throjugh all these fanfics in Wattpad and in almost each and every single one the girl is depressed, lonely, or have some kind of mental issues.
I would honestly be suprised if I found a fanfic where the girl is satisfied with life, doeant have that much of a dramatic background, and is perfectly healthy, both mentally and physically.
Now, im not trying to be rude towards mental/physical disorders and ppl with a lot of drama in their lives l, im just saying the topic is overused
The typical "My parents were abusive so I became suicidal theb this boy named Justin Bieber or some shizzlz like that comes and makes me happy and shit." Like its in too many books
Why cant we have a book where the girl or boy (for all you bi/pan/homo sexual readers out there, I got chu) is happy and the Guy/Girl makes her happier and shows her how ugly yet pretty the world is?
Why cant stories go along the lines of, "this world of mine is amazing then I met this guy qgo showed me it aint rainbows and flowers but there is still happiness in it." Like why isnt it like this?
Not to forget to mention the reader might read the fanfics of the depressed protagonist and theyd get triggered. More of a reason NOT to make your main character depressed. You might trigger someone.
