It was chilled evening, the wind blustery, where She led me, going towards where the Vampire clan was. The wind rippled through my fur as I soared above the clouds. After a long while She started to go lower in the sky, so I followed her downwards to the lands bellow, the clouds reluctant to let us go, clinging to my fur. I touched down in a field of grass, seeing the big golden orb setting on the horizon. She and I walked along warily, my ears pricking up at the slightest noise. We came to a large manor house after a time and I stood beside the wrought iron gates, looking to She. She leaped back into me and I turned to look up at the huge building. Do I just go in? Do I wait for someone to come out and find me? I didn't have to wait long to decide as the grand doors to the manor swung inwards and light flooded onto the lawns. A person came into the doorway, casting a huge great shadow across the gravel of the driveway. I waited patiently as the figure came down the drive and swung open the gates, looking out at me. It was the Vampire from the party, a huge vamparic grin on his face. He took me into a huge tight hug.

"Caramela Wincroft," he said softly, "you've come to stay!"

"If it's alright with you and your clan?"

"I should think they won't mind. You met our, ah, 'handeler' at the party, he lives here along with me and two other reformed Vampires. Please, come in."

He led me up the gravel driveway, the stones crunching and getting caught between my large pads. He opened the door for me and we both entered the grand hall way. He took my bag from my shoulder and led me along several corridors until we came to a study down a wood paneled corridor. All the heavy curtains in this place were closed tight. He opened the door of the study, allowing me in first then came in, closing the door behind him.

"Make yourself comfortable, change if you will and I'll be with you in a moment, I'll take your bag up," he said softly, leaving the room.

I changed my form and stretched, I was so exhausted. I sat of the leather sofa before an empty fire place. Candles were lit around the windowless room, giving it a warm yellow glow. There was a neatly organized desk in the far corner, papers stacked with care and an ornate quill and blotter. Above the fireplace was a portrait of a stern Vampire at night on a Thestral, the man dressed in Military finest. The Thestral tossed it's head and the man looked down at me disapprovingly. A few moments latter the Vampire returned, smiling at me with his mildly unsettling way. He stood before me in a smart black suit with his hands behind his back and his black hair greased back.

"I do apologise, Caramela, I don't ever remember giving you my name. Regrettably it is Simon. Our 'handler' gave us new, human names so that we might fit in better, but when he's not around, call me Kesian. So, Powerful One, what brings you here?"

"The Dark Lord is on  the rise," I said quietly, "he killed the minister of magic and replaced him with his own man. Harry Potter is on the run, searching for things to help bring the Dark Lord down and all who are loyal to Harry are in a rut, they can do next to nothing.I, on the other hand, am waiting for the Dark Lord to accept my challenge."

"You would challenge him?" Kesian asked.

"I would and I have. He wants to kill me? He has to catch me first, which I don't intend to make simple at all. In the mean time," I said softly, "I ant to change the future somewhat. When the Dark Lord meets his downfall, so many will die, but I don't want this death, I want to help raise the magical world out of this darkness into the light. I want wizards and magical being to live together in harmony, to work towards a brighter future."

"A truly amazing dream," said Kesian, "but the wizarding world would never except magical beings as equals, I am a living testament to this. Wizards can never accept things that aren't exactly what they want."
