"Thank you for inviting me Ryuga." Light smiled, holding out his hand for him to shake. I tried to keep the annoyance out of my face, relaxing my cheek muscles so that I didn't look so tense. "I would request for you to call me Ryuzaki here." L grasped his hand. Everyone followed his lead.
"Aizawa."
"Matsuda."
".....You know me already.""To make things simple I will call you Light." L said, walking to the table. Light agreed, following him. I frowned curiously. Wouldn't Light want an alias? What if Kira found him in the investigation? "I want you to watch these videos that have been sent to the tv station."
We stood behind Light, studying his actions as he listened to the recording. "So, what do you think of it?" L questioned, once he was done. Light grabbed the chair, standing up like he was about to punch something. I raised my eyebrow. Does he need to get this worked up? He explained his theory, which was the kind of the same as what we had come up with.
"Amazing.. " Aizawa stared. "That's almost like the one L came up with!"
"And me. " I muttered under my breath dejectedly. L glanced at me with an unreadable expression, having heard me. Sort of like understanding.. Or some sort."Impressive. That is what we have come up with." L nodded, moving his gaze back to Light. "So you were testing me?" Light asked, standing straight up. "Now that we have confirmed this theory, I would like to give a message to the second Kira, since he seems like he would obey whatever Kira says. " L nibbled on his thumb, totally ignoring what Light said before.
"And I want you to play the part of Kira. "
Light's eyes widened, as I smirked internally. "What?!" He exclaimed, shocked. "At any rate, we are running out of time. Do you think you will be able to script out a reply from Kira in time to be aired on the news? " L asked, his posture not once wavering during the talk.
Light's eyes peeked out from under his bangs, his hair shadowing his face. A face of evil. He nodded once, raising his head to smile politely. "Of course. I will do anything I can to help."
>..............................<
I sat in a random bedroom with L, waiting for Light to be done with his script. "Why do you want me here again?" I asked boredly, playing with my hair. "I want you to observe Light, every little thing you see, please report it to me afterwards. But please don't make it seem too obvious." He replied, referring to the hospital room. I hung my head. "Sorry. I was too interested in his expression."
He waved his hand, accepting the appology. I plucked a strawberry from a plate Watari brought in earlier, savouring the taste of the juice that exploded in my mouth.
"Ryuzaki, is this ok?" Light's voice was heard behind me. His footsteps became louder, his shoes clacking against the floorboards as he handed a piece of paper to L. I leaned over, reading what he had wrote."Yes, this is excellent. But if we don't emit the part 'you can feel free to kill L' I will end up dead." L looked over to Light. He laughed sheepishly, but I could tell it was forced by the way his voice was strained. "Sorry, I guess I got a little carried away. I was improvising. Feel free to change it whatever way you like."
He leant back against the couch, resting his hands behind his head. L nodded, picking up his pencil and amending it.
"Hey Light." I started, breaking the silence. "Yeah?" He asked, tilting his head so he could look at me. "I heard that you were dating a model, Misa Misa?" I asked, feigning excitement. "How did you know?" He asked, suprised. I grinned, "Rumours spread fast. I heard it from my friend. Plus, she's one of my favourite idols!" I squealed, jumping up like I was talking about some actual celebrity and not Misa Amane. Apart from Hideki Ryuga, she will probably be my next least favourite. What with her hyperness and all.
