"Watari, has she said anything?" L asked. stepping into his chair. "No." Came his static reply over the reciever.
"Bring her visual up." L ordered. "Are you sure?" Watari asked carefully.
What's wrong with that order? "Yes, hurry up."
The screen flickered to life, showing us a picture of Misa in a straight jacket with metal covering her eyes. The others gasped, shocked by the harshness of her situation.
"R-Ryuzaki, what the hell is this?!" The chief shouted furiously.
"Its only neccesary to take these precautions." Damn L, you got no chill.
I nodded, choosing my words carefully, seeing as he was my senior. "You wouldn't complain if this was done to a guy, don't stereotype all girls like we're weak."
He then shut his mouth, having nothing else to say.
"Now, we need a confession of how she killed people, how she knows Kira and if she knows who Kira is." L broke the tension in the room. He pressed the button on the speaker, contacting Watari. "Watari, as long as you're careful, I dont mind you using dubious methods. Get her to spit it out." The older man gave a noise of affirmation.
"Also Yagami san, please be prepared that I will be bringing Light kun for questioning regarding Kira."
I groaned. Not again!
I sat down on a chair in front of the screen, observing Watari on the screen that was preparing certain "instruments" that was meant for Misa. The rest of the members went away to their rooms, keeping their anger to themselves.
"I like this L." I spoke, resting my chin on my palm. "You do?" He asked surprised, ignoring the fact that I didn't call him Ryuzaki. I nodded. "Its nice to know someone doesn't treat girls like fragile objects all the time." He didn't reply, instead choosing to stay silent and looked away.
"Say, Naoki. What is your relationship with Light now?" He asked after a moments pause.
"Why?" I asked absentmindedly, typing away at the computer.
"Just a question."
I froze. Oh no. I groaned, puffing out my cheeks and looking at him. "You want me to do something don't you?" He turned his chair so he faced me directly. His eyes twinkled at my expression.
"I need you to become friends with him and gain information."
"So a spy."
"No, more like a very close friend. That betrays him."
"So a spy." I repeated.
"Just don't get too close." He advised, turning back to the screen.
I turned back to watching Misa.
"You are so cruel." I smirked, staring at L. "You seem to like it." He smirked back. "It looks like bondage play. You like it?" I nudged his arm playfully.
He leant towards me. "I might." I raised an eyebrow in amusement. "I have a strong sense of deja vu." He leant in closer. "I feel that this is going to be slightly different." I cocked my head to the side. "How so?" He was so close now, his bangs tickling the side of my face.
My heart was pounding in my chest, my breathing getting quicker. I peered into his black eyes, confusion darting across my face.
He suddenly stopped, like something had registered in his brain. Abruptly, he pushed himself of the chair and walked out of the room at an abnormally fast pace.
I froze in shock, blood rushing to my face. Did he just. DID HE JUST. The center of gravity betrayed me and I fell out of my chair, hitting the floor with a loud thud.
Yo. What just happened?
He must have just fallen off his chair.
Yes.
Thats exactly what had happened.
I actually felt dizzy and stood up shakily, my clammy hands getting colder by the second. I whirled around the room aimlessly, shudders passing through my body every few seconds. This feeling... What is it?
I think..
I think..
I think im gonna throw up.
