"For today let's just focus on getting Misa to talk." L suddenly came into the room while I was having breakfast, causing me to choke on a strawberry.
I quickly swiveled my chair away from him, pretending to do my own work. I bit my lip, staring down at the screen and didn't make eye contact with the man seated beside me.
Why did I choose this place to sit?!
"Ryuzaki, Amane Misa is talking!" Watari's voice came over the speaker.
We widened our eyes, immediately jumping out of our seats and rushed to the screening room.
"Hurry give me visuals and sound!" L ordered, sliding onto the sofa and pretty much taking up it's entire space.
"Finally after three days huh?" The investigators cried out, their shoes clicking against the floorboards as they ran in.
"I can't take it anymore. Kill me."
Her hoarse voice rang out in the silent room. The others gasped, crowding around the sofa to look closer.
I frowned, sticking my hands into my pockets.
"Kill me.. Hurry up and kill me!"
She knows we're the police, we can't kill anyone. So why is she saying that?
"I guess it was too much for a young girl, she must be at her limit."
Matsuda clutched the sofa, staring intensely at the screen.
"Amane Misa, can you hear me?"
L spoke into the mic, his altered voice sounding out.
"I can hear you.. Please kill me." She spoke with a trembling voice
"Is this because you admit to being the second kira?" He questioned, making me lean forward in interest.
"No.. I don't know anything about the second kira! I can't take this anymore, I rather die.. Now hurry, kill me!"
Hurry kill her..? Is she ordering us around?
"You should be able to kill me immediately right?!"
A moment of silence ensued before she spoke again.
"Yes. Kill me."
I let out a sound of confusion, crossing my arms. Why did it seem like she wasn't talking to us?
"Yes.. Kill me. I can't take it anymore. Please kill me."
She paused, looking like she was waiting for a reply.
"No.. No please just kill me!"
"That's it! If you won't kill me..!"
She suddenly screamed out, making me jump.
"This is bad! Watari don't let her bite her tongue!" L ordered again and the old man went behind her and tied a cloth inside her mouth.
"Could it be that these are just actions controlled by Kira just before death?" He mused, wrapping his arms around his knees.
I shook my head even though he couldn't see and spoke out.
"I don't think so, she was replying someone that is not us."
"Huh?" Aizawa asked, scratching his afro.
"Didn't you feel like she was talking to someone?" I thought out loud, tilting my head.
He let out a short hum, letting the thought sink in.
A few minutes passed and nothing happened.
"Aizawa, Matsuda, please go back to reading her records. Chief Yagami, please continue to examine the evidence. Naoki, stay here."
I gulped, watching the others leave us alone in the dark room.
