I scribble words into my English notebook about our plan to call Fred and ask for help.

"Miss McCarthy?!" Mrs. Adams said. I kind of zoned out of the lesson.

"She asked about the summary of Tom Sawyer" Carla whispered.

I say a brief summary and Mrs. Adams goes off to bother another student. She is kind and sweet but a little absent-minded to what goes on in her class. The lazy people keep telling her,when she asks, that we haven't read Tom Sawyer yet, so they only have to read one book a semester.

"What's on your mind?" Carla asked.

"What if he doesn't help us?" I said.

"He will, Addison" She said.

The bell rings and I pack my books into my bag and walk to my locker with Carla.

"Hey," Taylor kisses me.

"Unbelivable," Carla said." Get a room"

"Nice to see you too" Taylor told her.

"I'll see you in the cafeteria" Carla said, she gave one more disgusted expression before walking away.

"I wanted to ask you something" Taylor said.

"Yes, "I said.

"My parents want you to come over for dinner tonight, is that okay?" Taylor said.

"Erm ........ sure" I fumble a little.

"Great, pick you up at 6" He kissed my cheek and left me in the hallway.

I go to the cafeteria, Mandy and Vincent are laughing and Carla is playing with her food at our table.

"Thank God, I was about to puke on them" Carla said as I sit down.

"Shut up," Mandy said.

"First Addison and Taylor were kissing in front of me and now they are laughing, touching, blah, blah, blah" Carla said.

"Theo" I call the boy in the next table who Carla happens to like.

"Hey," Theo said.

"Sit!" I commanded. The only chair left on our table was the one beside Carla.

"Hi" Theo said to Carla.

"Hi"She said.

"I know you like Carla so just ask her out, she will be free tonight and she loves popcorn" I said and Mandy laughed.

"Why did you do that?" Carla said.

"If you have a boyfriend you won't bother Mandy and I" I smiled.

Carla goes back to playing with her food and throwing peas at Mandy when she tries to kiss Vincent

We ate our lunch and go back to class. At excatly six Taylor is in front of my house. I wore a black fitting dress with my mom's locket.

"You look amazing" Taylor said when I enter the car. He kissed me before turning the ignition.

The drive to his house is short. His house is also a mansion like mine but he has a pool.

"The last time I saw you, you were in pigtails and you had pink ribbons in your hair but you are now all grown up" Taylor's mom said.

"Ella! Leave the girl alone" Toby said.
"Good to see you again"

"You have met before" Taylor asked.

"Our parents were good friends" I said.

"How come I never knew? " Taylor asked.

"You never asked" Ella said. "Come Addison, the food is almost ready"

"Thanks Ella" I said

I followed her into their living room. The furniture was a dark shade of brown and there was a small glass table in the middle and a huge chandelier was on the high ceiling.

"Your mom helped me decorate this room" Ella whispered into my ear.

"It's beautiful" I said and sat down in a two-seater couch and Ella sat beside me.

"You used to come here, you and Taylor used to play together all the time" Ella said.

"I don't remember" Taylor and I said.

Ella laughed and said, " He -"
Taylor cuts in before she can say more.

"I am going to show Addison the garden" He quickly said and pulled me to the patio. "Sorry about that"

"I like your mom" I said.

He chuckled and kissed me.

"Food is ready" Ella said breaking the kiss. "You could have just said you wanted some alone time instead of pulling her away"

"Mom! "Taylor said.

She smiled an innocent and teasing smile. We walked together to the dinning table. The food was amazing and after dinner Taylor drive me back home. I had a wonderful day.
