Stalking

After a few tips from Avery, both roommates called it a night. Even though she would never admit it, Eliza was ecstatic to potentially see that man again. Even if she was only to stalk him.

The next morning, Avery made sure to remind Eliza about the plan. "Ready to become a stalker!?" Avery exclaims, waking her friend up.

"Ugh... Sure? Seriously why do you have to wake me up so early?" Eliza softly says in her morning voice.

"Well i need to head to work so this is the only time to see you before you see him again!"

"You couldve called..."

"Yeah well, whats the fun in that?" Avery asks laughing. "Anyways im off to work, happy stalking and i need every juicy detail!" She says, walking out. Eliza just chuckles a little and lies back down to sleep a little more.

A couple hours later, Eliza is getting dressed and ready to go to the cafe again. She walks into the shop and immediately goes to the counter. "A small hot chocolate please, can i pay for this right up front?" She asks the man working the register.

"Sure, that will be $3" He says. Eliza gives him the money and waits for her drink. When she gets her hot chocolate, she sits in the same seat as yesterday and hopes that man will come again.

An hour later, Eliza is basically asleep. I had a feeling he wouldnt show up again... Either that or he actually was in my head... She thought to herself, just as she was about to leave, the man walks in. She couldve sworn she smiled, and she is now fully awake. She observes him, trying to be as discreet as possible. "A medium coffee please." She overhears him. He has a soothing deep voice that she adores. He gets his coffee and sits exactly where he did yesterday. He, again, has a newspaper in hand, but not reading it. His coffee was set next to him and he isnt doing anything in particular. I wish i could just talk to him to get to know him, but im too much of a pussy... Eliza thinks to herself. She sees him look directly at her, her heartbeat starts to beat faster as he continues to stare. He then looks away and picks up his coffee, drinking it all at once. He then stands up and throws it away, walking out the door. Eliza throws her empty cup away and follows him out.

She sees him walk down the street, when he passes a garbage can, he throws the useless newspaper away. He walks really fast... She thinks as she tries to keep up while keeping a good distance between them. He reaches a corner and disappears. Eliza speeds up a little, hoping not to lose him. She comes around the same corner, seeing that he is once again, gone. She looks around everywhere, seeing if he crossed the street or something. He wasnt anywhere to be found. She sighs and sees the local pet store. She decides to walk in just to look around to lighten her mood. She immediately goes to where they keep the bunnies, she has always wanted one, but her parents were too poor to get one. "So cute..." She whispers to herself, putting a finger against the glass hoping a bunny will try to sniff it.

"So you have been following me?" She hears a familiar voice say from behind her, and her heart stops for a second...
