A couple days later, Vincent asked some old coworkers to help teach Italian. There was enough coworkers for every person except one, which Vincent would teach. Everyone gathered in the living room except Elizas father, while Vincent and the men were standing. "So everyone is assigned one of my friends here, and one person is with me. So i will introduce you and you will go your separate ways so its easier to learn. Sebastian, you are going with Avery. Andrew, you are with Elizas older brother, Grayson. Isaac, you are with Elizas younger brother, Wyatt. Eli, you are with Averys father, Nathan. Hunter, you are with Averys sister, Serenity. And Colton, you are with Elizas mother, Adeline. So that means im with Eliza. Any questions before we go our separate ways?" Vincent introduces. Nobody says anything. "Great so lets learn some Italian..." He finishes and everyone goes into separate rooms. Vincent and Eliza opt for the kitchen.

"So how long is this going to take?" Eliza asks while Vincent gives her paper and a pen.

"Well, the guys would come every other day except on weekends so they can enjoy their life, and i was thinking two hours each day. Of course with a break since that is awhile. Luckily we have the kitchen so we can just snack on everything." Vincent jokes.

"Okay, so teach me Italian then."

"Ciao means Hi or Hello. Write it down and say it."

"Ciao..." She says while writing.

"Great, first word already, you are growing up so fast..." Vincent says dramatically, pretending to wipe a tear from his eye. Eliza shives him a little while chuckling.

"Alright, next word please." Eliza says, snapping her fingers.

"Addio means goodbye or bye." Eliza writes it down and repeats it. Vincent keeps teaching her important words until they decide to take a break. "Alright, what do we have to snack on here?" Vincent says to himself while standing up and looking in the fridge. "Do you want milk and cookies?" Vincent asks Eliza. Eliza shrugs.

"Sure." Vincent gets the milk and cookies out and sets them on the table in between them.

"So are you gonna remember those words?" Vincent asks with a mouth full of cookie.

"Hasnt anyone told you to not talk with food in your mouth?" Eliza asks jokingly, talking with a mouth full of cookie as well.

"You hypocrite..." Vincent mutters before smiling sheepishly. They continue to snack for a couple more minutes before they start again. "So tell my all the words you have learned so far and what they mean..."

"Okay... Ciao means Hello, Addio means Bye, Grazie means Thanks, Prego means You're Welcome, Per Favore means Please, Scusami means Excuse Me, Bene means Good, Cattivo means Bad, Giorno means Day, and Notte means Night."

"Great. Now we will move onto clothing items and food and we should be done for the day." Eliza nods and Vincent starts giving her words again.

About an hour later, they are finishing up. "Okay, great now tell me the words you just learned and what they are again." Vincent asks.

"Camicia is a shirt, Pantaloni is pants, Giacca is a jacket, Scarpe is shoes, Cappello is a hat, Bicchieri is glasses, Biancheria Intima is underwear, Calzini is socks, Pollo is chicken, Mela is apple, Sandwich is obviously a sandwich, Arancia is orange, Succo is juice, La Carne is meat, and Pancetta is bacon..."

"Wow, that was a lot for one day but you did great. I hope you remember most of those in two days and next time we will start full sentences." Vincent says, impressed with Eliza.

"Great, thank you for doing this..." Eliza says softly.

"Its the least i can do for making you flee America... I feel so bad." Vincent says looking down.

"Hey, its nobodys fault, if this is because of what my dad said, just dont worry about him he has always been a pessimist and hates any guy i hang out with..."

"But still... I could see why he would hate me." It grew silent for a couple moments, until Eliza decided to break it with a sigh, gaining Vincents attention.

"This has been bothering me for awhile now but i need it to be clear..." Vincent furrows his eyebrows, confusion written on his face. "Remember about a month ago when you walked out of my life?" Vincent nods, not getting where she is going. "Before you walked away... I.. Kissed... You."

"Oh... Right i remember." Vincent says awkwardly, not really wanting to talk about it, even though he knows Eliza wont drop the subject anyways. "What about it?" He says bluntly, trying not to show emotion, which works because Eliza felt her heart shatter at how careless he seemed about it.

"Uh... Maybe your opinion about it?" She asks, hoping his answer will be good.

"Well, it was very quick and it was also a hard day for me... So i wouldnt really remember. What is your opinion on it?" He lies and changes the subject. Vincent never stopped thinking about that kiss, but he felt it was too dangerous to get involved with a woman again after Daphne. He was afraid he would lose someone close to him again.

"Well... Okay this is embarrassing now but i cant stop thinking about-" Before Eliza could finish, her father bust through the kitchen doors like a mad man. He had been listening to their conversation ever since she started learning about food.

"You two kissed!? And you liked it!?" He yells. Eliza stands up, her expression went from embarrassed to angry in .5 seconds.

"Dad you cant control me anymore! And this was before i knew everything about Vincent, okay!?-" Her father cuts her off again.

"What about now that you do know about him? Huh?! Do you have different feelings!?" Eliza glances at Vincent before answering.

"I dont feel different... His past is in the past, he doesnt kill people anymore and wont ever again. Its not his fault that his past has come back!" Vincent couldnt help but smile at what Eliza said about him. Before her father could respond, everyone else was eavesdropping on the argument just outside the kitchen, and Avery decided to end it.

"Okay that is enough! Sir, i know you are upset that she is interested in an ex-murderer, but instead of him letting the police get to her, he gave us this wonderful get away! I mean come on, our soon to be president back at the states wouldve either been Trump or Clinton... We were screwed either way there..."

"So funny Avery, but you dont have a say in what my daughter can or cannot do... Only i do." Just then, a frustrated Adeline came into the kitchen.

"Bryant i am her mother so i also have a say! And if she wants to be interested in her savior then so be it! If you dont let her she will just rebel against you anyways because she is an adult and can make her own decisions! Plus i dont see whats so bad about him. Yes, he has a past that is coming back to bite him in the ass... But Avery is right... He gave us this new life so instead of moping around and trying to control your daughter all the time... Why dont you just enjoy it!?" Luckily that shut the man up. He looks at Vincent angrily before saying anything else.

"You are lucky you have everyone on your side, because if that wasnt the case and murder was legal... Youd be dead in a ditch right now..." Bryant spat at Vincent, before stomping out.

"Im sorry Vincent-" He cuts Eliza off.

"Dont be, its fine." Eliza, Avery, and Adeline look at him with sympathy. "Did the fellas leave yet?" He then asked after a moment.

"Yeah, we did learn some Italian though so i guess thats the bright side of today..." Avery answers while Vincent nods.

"Well, i guess the question now is... Whats for dinner?" Vincent asks, changing the subject and looking through the fridge.
