A week later...

"Getting settled in alright?" Axton asks Vincent and Eliza, who are preparing a feast for the double memorial they are holding for Bryant and Serenity. 

"A lot easier than in Italy... At least the people here speak English!" Eliza exclaims, making the two men chuckle. 

"Oh come on... It wasn't that bad.Plus you learned the language from this sexy hunk." Vincent winks at Eliza, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek as she giggles.

"You two are disgustingly adorable. Need any help with anything?" Axton says, shaking his head at the couple. 

"I don't think so. You helped a lot by rescuing us and bringing us here, thanks man." 

"Hey, no I was happy to do it. And I couldn't let my friend go through that without help. I will be going to the cathedral now, see you there!" Axton says, quickly fixing his tie and leaving the couple to finish cooking.

"My dad would be so proud of you..." Eliza suddenly says, making Vincent confused. 

"Me? Why?"

"Because you kept your word... You are protecting me and now we are happy." She explains, hugging him.

"I'm also keeping Wyatt's word too. I will always protect and care for you. Which means that we need to change our names by the way..."

"Why? You think they will still look for us?" Vincent shrugs.

"Just a precaution." Vincent suddenly smirks.

"What is that smirk about?" 

"How about we make our name change easier..." He says, confusing Eliza.

"What do you mean?" 

"I was gonna wait for a better time for this, but..." Vincent opens a nearby drawer, taking out a little box.

"Vincent... What's this?" 

"Eliza, let's get married. It will not only make our name change easier, but we have spent so much time together and have been through Hell and back without breaking apart from each other. I have learned to love again because you are by my side now and now that I am convinced that everything will be okay from now on, I want to start new with you. Will you become my wife and I can guarantee to protect and care for you forever?" Vincent asks, making Eliza tear up.

"As long as you promise to become my husband I can love and care for just the same..." They both smile as Eliza puts the ring on and they both share a passionate kiss.

"I think we are going to be late..." Vincent says, realizing they have ten minutes to load the car with all of the food and drive to the cathedral for the memorial service. 

"Well, then we better get going!"

The service was nice and small. Despite the sad occasion, everyone was excited about the engagement. 

"Finally you lovebirds!" Avery exclaimed, admiring her best friends ring. 

"I thought you were gonna wait, man?" Axton asked Vincent.

"It was the perfect moment, I couldn't wait."

"Well, good for you, man. I better be your best man though!" Axton jokes, making Vincent laugh. He walks away and is met with Adeline. 

"Hello, Mrs. Harris. I'm sorry about Mr. Harris..."

"It's okay, darling. Call me Adeline, you are family now." She smiles, opening her arms up for a hug, which Vincent gladly receives. "Finally, a man who is good for my daughter. I know Bryant didn't accept you at first, but at the end he started to respect you and that's how we know that he approved of you."

"I appreciate it, Adeline." She walked away and Elizas brothers approach him. 

"You are most definitely keeping your promise..." Wyatt starts, putting a hand on Vincent's shoulder.

"Wait, what promise?" Grayson asks.

"Wyatt wanted me to protect and care for Eliza. I plan to do that as long as I live." Both brothers smile.

"You're my favorite of all of the men she has ever seen." Grayson says, walking towards his sister.

"Thanks for getting us out of there..." Wyatt starts.

"I'm not the man to thank... I just hope everything will be just fine from now on." 

"It will be. I'll see you around, brother." Vincent smiles at what Wyatt called him, and then Eliza rejoins her fiancee.

"Look at that. Everyone seems to approve of my Mr. Mysteriously Handsome..."
