In The Night

A little touching going on between Gabe and Grace. Read at your own risk.

Snowbird POV

I had gone into labor a few hours ago. It had started late in the night and the contraction are getting closer together. Grace was looking to see how dilated I was. "I know you have been in labor for seven hours but you are only at 3 cm." I groaned because I wanted this to be over. I laid my head on my pillow as an another contraction came. Ami was watching Peter and Sammy as we were waiting on Blaine to return from town. Lily's family was fighting for rights of Sam. He had gone in the late afternoon and I guess he had to stay overnight. The lawyer kept telling the family that all the papers had been signed but they weren't listening. Blaine was going to try to see if they would want to meet their grandson. I don't know how that was going to go but we would see. Grace was sitting in the room with me and took a wet washcloth to help with the sweat on my forehead. "Why don't you try and get some rest, I will tell Blaine when he gets here." I nodded as I drifted off to sleep.

Grace POV

I waited until I knew she was a sleep to walk outside. The kids were playing on the porch at the main house. I started walking towards the beach to see if Blaine was coming in. I sat on the fallen tree log and waited. I wasn't sitting very long until he was pulling up to shore. I run over to him and help him tie off the skiff. "Birdy has gone into labor." "What? Is she okay and the baby?" "Both of them are fine, she just drifted off to sleep. She still has awhile to go." He jumped out of the skiff and was walking back to camp. "Where are the boys?" "Peter is playing Stefan and Henry. Ami has Sammy inside the main house." We made our way to the main house as Peter ran to his dad to give him a hug. "Hey buddy, are you ready to have another brother?" "Yes!" "Go play with the rest of the boys and I will get later after baby brother is born." He nodded his head as he went back to playing. I opened the door to find the girls inside as Rose ran to me. Blaine went over to Ami to pick up Sam. He sat down in a chair to rock his son. "I'm going to go check on Birdy." I walked out of the main cabin to make my way to their cabin. I opened the door and she was still asleep. I lifted her sheet to see she was only 4 cm and her water had broken. I knew it wouldn't be long now. I go to sit on the porch with my book but I kept the door open to listen for her.

I heard someone walking towards me as I raised my head. My handsome husband was walking towards me. He stood before me as he leaned down on the chair. His hands rested on the arm rest and leaned down to kiss me. I put my hands around his neck to bring him closer to me. "Why can't I just take you over to the hot tub and praise you?" "Your sister is in labor and I will need to help her soon. We could try tomorrow." "I'm only waiting because I love you." He kissed me until we heard a scream from Birdy. I jumped out of my chair to see if every was okay. "What's wrong?" "I think it is time to push." I look under her gown to see the baby's head. "Go get Blaine." Gabe ran out of the house to get him. "Birdy, I'm going to need you to sit up and spread your legs. Blaine will be here in a minute." I hear two sets of footsteps as Blaine got in the bed with her. I look towards the door to see Gabe closing the door. "Okay I'm going need you to push for me." Blaine took both of her hands as the baby was coming slowly. She was yelling at the ceiling because her head was laying on Blaine's shoulder. "You're doing great, keep going!" She screamed some more and then it stopped as the baby was here. I noticed that the baby wasn't a boy but a girl. I started laughing as I stood up to hand the baby to them. "I think I told you wrong. You might have to think of another name." Birdy was looking franticly at me to see if anything was wrong. "It looks to be you have a daughter." She took her from me as all of us were crying. Blaine kissed her head as I walked out to tell the rest of the family. The family was waiting outside. When I opened the door, Ami and Billy stepped forward. "I was wrong about something as I looked at the ultrasound a few months ago." "What's wrong with Liam?" "Well, you don't have another grandson but you do have another granddaughter." The family was celebrating as they went inside. Gabe walked over to me as he picked me up.

I had my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I laid my head in the curve of his neck as he started walking. I knew he was taking me to the hot tub. There had been some left over wood from the last project and the boys built a bench next to the hot tub. I have a swim shirt that I would wear in the tub. I had a pair of under clothes that I would wear also. Gabe stripped to his boxer as I took my clothes off and then put on the clothes he had laid out for me. I was handed a ponytail holder to put my hair up. I put my hair up in a messy bun as I was picked up by him to be placed in the tub. He came in second and pulled me to sit between his legs. I leaned my head back to look at the woods. He started rubbing my shoulder to get me to relax. I moaned in certain places. He reached under the water to pull my shirt off. He put his hand inside my panties to touch my core. I was biting my lip to keep quiet. Then his other hand was in my bra, pinching my nipple.

After I had finished, he put my shirt back on me as we noticed the sun was starting to set. I turned around to kiss him. "I think we might want to get out. I have to help your mom fix dinner. It is my turn tonight." "You did it last night, I thought it was someone else turn." "Tonight would have been Birdy but because of the most recent event, I think it is my turn." I kissed him again and I stood up to get out of the tub. I took my clothes off and put my other set of clothes on to walk to the main house. Gabe was still in the tub when I had turned the corner. Birdy was in the main house with Blaine sitting at the table. Charlotte was already helping Ami as I sat next to Birdy. "Have you found a name for her yet?" "Willow Olivia York" "That is a very beautiful name." "Olivia was Blaine's mother name. Then we had our first kiss under a willow tree."

Matt POV

The entire family was buzzing about the new baby. I was sitting the corner with a picture of Amelia. I was praying she would be able to endure whatever he was dishing out to her. I would bring her back soon. We had eaten dinner that night and stayed up to talk for hours. We all left to our cabins to get some rest. I was going hunting with Gabe tomorrow to find deer. I read Isabella her favorite bed time story as she fell asleep. I kissed her forehead and walked out of her room. I went into my bedroom to find Nathan asleep in his crib. I take off my boots and shirt to climb in bed. I sat the picture down beside me on the bed. I blew out the candle as I drifted off to sleep.

Eleanor POV

Bam and I had just made love as he fell asleep. I had my head on his chest to listen to his heartbeat. I was about to fall asleep when I heard a gunshot in the distance. I raised up in bed as Bam jumped out to grab his pants and gun. He walked back over to me and kissed me. He opened Diana door to find her huddle in a corner. I heard her footsteps as she ran to him. I had grab my panties and a shirt. She came over to the bed and I brought her to my chest. "Stay inside and don't answer the door unless it is me." I had my gun sitting beside the bed as he walked outside. Diana was shaking as I comforted her. She was crying into my chest. I could see a green light reflecting in the window. It disappeared as I laid down with her. It had been about an hour since the gunshot. I heard the front door open as he came into the room. I was looking at him with fear in my eyes. Diana was still shaking in my arms as he come over to the bed. She turned to face him as she got into his lap. "Why are you still scared for girl?" "I heard the shot and I thought he might hurt me." "I would never let anything happen to one of my girls. Daddy is going to protect both of you no matter what happens." He kissed her head as he laid down with her on his chest. I laid down beside them as I curled into his side. His gun was next to bed as he stayed awake the rest of the night.
