Pieces of Time

Ashton's POV

"Are you sure they said they were coming here and not to the airport?" I asked Michael as we sat down in the land room.

We had our luggage bags by the door and were waiting for Luke, Calum and Nicole to arrive.

"Yeah, I told them to come here. They should be here any minute, it's nearly 2:30." Michael shrugged.

I took a sip of my coffee then we heard a knock on the door.

"Maybe you should answer it mate." Michael winked over at me. I set my cup down on the table in front of Michael. He wore a loose fitting jumper which made him look extremely comfortable.

I went to the door, adjusting the blanket wrapped around my shoulders and opened it.

"Hey guys!" Winter shouted as I spotted her.

"Winter?" I said in shock pulling her into a hug. "Ooh it's warm." She said nuzzling her head into my chest. She had on her red jumper and sweatpants but still seemed cold. I wrapped the blanket around her as I tried to guide her into the house.

"Wait," she said before turning around to grab a bag.

"What's this?" I smiled looking back at Michael who shrugged while taking a sip of my coffee.

"Surprise!" Luke shouted appearing at the door behind Winter. With him was Calum and Nicole.

"I'm coming with you." Winter smiled up at me. I grabbed her bag and adjusted the blanket on her.

"It's cold! Move from the door!" Nicole complained.

Just as Winter and I sat down on the sofa, Calum slowly entered the house to piss of Nicole. Then Michael made the situation worse by leaning his arm across the door frame while talking to Calum.

"CLIFFORD! MOVE YOUR FAT ASS OUT OF THE WAY. IT'S 2 AM AND IT'S FREEZING!" Nicole shouted.

Winter laughed and I stood to move Calum and Michael from the door. "Thanks Ash." Nicole shivered as she entered.

Luke set down Nicole and his's bags by the door while we waited for John's call. He rented a van to take us all to the airport.

"When's John coming?" Winter asked.

Michael took a seat besides her, leaving her between the two of us. "Cozy?" He smirked.

"Shut up Clifford." Winter teased, impersonating Nicole.

"Excited for the long fucking flight?" Calum shouted to everyone.

"Totally!" I shouted.

"Of course mate, it's only 24 hours of total travel time ahead of us. What's not to look forward too?" Michael laughed.

"24 hours!?" Nicole shouted looking at Luke.

Luke remained quiet when Nicole was around, which was another reason we weren't fond of her. She didn't let Luke be himself and it was upsetting. Winter was different. Winter acted like herself and never once tried to limit who we were. This past week, we all became best friends with Winter and I knew it would strengthen over the tour.

"It's a long flight but you can sleep the whole time babe. We got two seats to ourselves." Luke smiled.

"What?" Michael asked annoyed.
