Ashton's POV

Michael, Luke then Calum came through the door but stopped a distance from the woman.

It was awkward really. There was a huge gap between the woman and Winter and I. Then there was another awkward space between the woman and the boys. There was also an awkward silence to the room and I didn't see the point in it. The boys obviously knew who this woman was because they were talking with her outside. Winter seemed to know who she was because she stood there, not knowing what to say.

I finally decided to break the ice. "Who are you?" I asked the woman.

"Ashton-" Michael started.

"You don't recognize me?" The woman said interrupting Michael. She took a step toward me, the boys flinched and Winter took a step back, as if she was protecting me from her.

"I'm sorry I really don't. Is this someone else that I don't remember?" I laughed. I tried to find humor in the fact that I lost my memory. It was better than being upset or sad about it.

"Ashton, you should go upstairs." Luke said in a serious tone.

"Why?" I asked.

"Ashton, you're telling me that you-" The woman started.

"Shut up and leave my house!" Michael yelled at the woman.

She turned to face him and Luke rushed toward me. He grabbed my arm and tried to take me upstairs.

"Come on mate." He pleaded. But I broke from his grip and stood my ground.

"No. I want to know who she is and why everyone seems so awkward." I said.

"Fuck no!" Calum said. He grabbed the woman's arm but she broke from his grip. Michael pulled out his phone and the woman faced me again. Winter still stood in front of me, like a wall between the woman and I.

"All of you need to leave and let me talk to him!" The woman demanded.

"Who the fuck are you to be giving orders?" Winter snapped.

"Don't yell at me Winter! You don't know anything!" The woman yelled taking a step toward Winter.

I didn't know who the hell this woman was and I was even more confused when she said she knew Winter. But none of it matter because no one was going to talk to her or any of my mates like that.

In a quick motion, I stepped between Winter and the woman. The woman came at me and wrapped her arms around my torso. Suddenly, I found myself in an awkward hug with a stranger.

"Who are you?" I said with my arms in the air, avoiding her hug.

"Get the hell off him!" Luke yelled grabbing her arm. "You aren't welcome here!" Calum shouted.

The woman nudged Luke aside and held a tighter grip. "Get out of my fucking house lady!" Michael yelled.

"Luke, Calum, Michael and Winter, you all need to leave me and Ashton alone for a minute!" The woman yelled.

She knew everyone here and yet everyone seemed to hate her, including Winter.

Winter let out a huge sigh. I faced her as she mouthed the words: She's your mum.

This woman hugging me, was my mother? The woman who left me for dead in a hospital and didn't care to look for me after almost 2 years, is now hugging me like it's the best day of her life?

I pushed her off of me and scanned her body. "You're my mum?" I snapped.

The boys and Winter gathered behind the woman, in my gaze.

"Ashton, did you remember me when I hugged-" She started.

"No! I only seem to remember people that I care about." I snapped.

"Ashton you cant talk to me like that. I'm your mother!" She warned.

"You're wrong. I have no mother," I stepped closer to her, "In my head, my mother died in the accident." I spit.

She looked completely destroyed after what I said and I wondered if that's the face I had when Winter told me my mum abandoned me at the hospital.

"Look Ashton, I don't know what these punks told you but-" She started, wiping away a tear.

"They didn't have to tell me anything! You were not in my life for almost 2 fucking years!" I yelled.

"Ashton, they don't have the explanations I have and if you just listened-" She started.

"Maybe we should step outside-" Winter interrupted.

"No! I want you to hear all of this!" I yelled to them as they took a step toward the door. "I don't want your fucking excuses because there is no fucking excuse good enough. Abandoning children in a fucking hospital is what mother's do to babies, not their fully grown sons! These punks, like you call them, stood by my side and have always been there for me like you couldn't!" I yelled.

"Ashton," The woman's voice cracked as the tears swelled up in her eyes.

"Why did you come now huh? After almost 2 fucking years what's the point? Don't tell me you regretted abandoning me or that you felt bad that you took my siblings from me either because I don't fucking believe you."

"I saw you, playing on tour and-" She cried.

"and you thought that I had money to give you? Or now that I'm successful I'm worthy enough to be your son?" I yelled. "Well I have no fucking money and I don't need a fucking mother! You can leave now!" I yelled.

"ASHTON!" The woman yelled. "LISTEN TO ME. ALL I ASK IS FOR 10 MINUTES."

"FUCK YOU! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE YOU HAVE TO SAY. DON'T EVEN BOTHER LOOKING ME UP ON THE INTERNET OR GOING TO SEE ME PLAY BECAUSE I DON'T WANT YOU THERE. I WANT YOU OUT OF MY LIFE LIKE YOU ARE OUT OF MY MEMORY!" I yelled.

I rushed toward the door and opened it violently. She stood there starring at me in shock. I avoided her gaze because I couldn't stand to look at her anymore.

"What are you waiting for?" Michael yelled.

Just then, security showed up at the door and Michael asked them to take her out. As they walked past me I said, "If you see her in the future, don't let her near me. I don't give a fuck who she is, I never want to see her again in my life!" I spit.

Michael's POV

As security left with Ashton's mum in arms, Ashton said something to them. He then slammed the door shut and stomped all the way up to his room. He didn't say a word to any of us or look at any of us before he slammed the door to his room.

"Fuck!" I shouted.

When I opened the door and saw her there, I knew she would find a way to talk to Ashton.

"How the hell did she-" Winter started and then sat down in shock.

"Who called security?" Luke asked.

"I did. When she wouldn't leave the front yard, and she barged through the door, I knew we would need help getting her out." I sighed.

"I really dreaded that this day would come. I never wanted Ashton to see her again, not after we told him the truth." Calum shouted.

"She's crazy. She was going after Winter when she spoke back." Luke said.

"I was ready to take it for Ashton, but he got passed me." Winter sighed.

"We all went toward her." Calum said. "We were all ready to defend each other and especially Ashton." I added.

"Should someone go up and talk to him?" Luke said shyly.

"What do you say to someone that just faced the woman who abandoned them?" Winter sighed putting her head in her knees.
