Ashton's POV

As Winter went upstairs to talk with her friends, we all sat down stairs.

"What should we do today then?" I asked.

"With them?" Luke added gesturing up the stairs.

"Yes Luke! Don't be rude!" I shouted.

"We could hang out at the hotel." Calum shrugged. "But then the rest of our fans would get pissed at those two girls." Michael added.

"Well if we go out someplace, we need to take security." I sighed.

"What do people in California do?" Luke asked.

"They go to the beach." Calum smirked.

"The beach?" Michael laughed. "We didn't even go to the beach back home in Australia."

"It's a completely different ocean though." I smiled. I liked the idea of going to the beach. One side of the area was completely water and not filled with fans, so it would be easier on security. "Besides, I've always wanted to see a sunset." I added.

"We could get sunburned!" Michael whined.

"I'll buy you sunscreen." Luke shrugged. "Will you put it on me though?" Michael smirked. "Yes." Luke winked.

"YUCK!" I laughed. "It's okay mate. You can help me put my sunscreen on." Calum smiled as he nudged my shoulder.

The girls came downstairs and seemed more calm. "Don't worry, they promised to act like normal people now." Winter shrugged as she sat down on a nearby chair.

"Why? We aren't even normal people." I laughed.

"What do you guys want to do?" Emma asked.

I intended on remembering their names, I didn't want to give Winter another bad experience today. I could tell she was annoyed by how the day has been going so far. It hasn't been all that she thought it would be, seeing her friends and all of us hanging out peacefully. Her friends ended up being huge fans of our band and then we all became awkward turtles, trying to crawl back into our shells to avoid the situation. I wanted to make it better for her and I wanted her to have a good time.

"We want to go to the beach." Calum smiled.

"The beach? Do you want to have a cliche California day?" Patricia laughed. "Exactly guys! She doesn't want to go either!" Michael shouted.

"Let's go!" Winter smiled.

"Let's not over think anything and just do it!" I yelled in excitement.

"Well, I'll go get my bathing suit." Emma shrugged as she started going up the stairs.

"Okay, but I don't have one." Patricia said shyly.

"You live here though." Luke laughed.

"But I don't like the beach. The bathing suit I have is from when I was 12." She laughed.

Winter came over to me and whispered, "I hope by the end of the day they stop acting like fans and start acting like the friends they are to me."

"I'm sure they will." I smiled

"HEY! NO SECRETS!" Calum yelled.

"Okay, I'm ready-" Emma started as she came down the stairs. I could see the straps of her bathing suit around her neck underneath the white loose fitting dress she had on. She spotted Patricia and stopped in her tracks. "What the fuck? I thought you would go home and get ready?"
