I have four words for you; I hate Mondays.
Not because I hated waking up early or Monday was the only day I had extra practice.
I hate Monday's because my first period is AP chemistry and I share that class with Leah.
I hadn't heard back from stalker since that day, and I was kind of hoping they took my threat seriously and decided to leave me alone.
Or they're two steps ahead of me.
This is not how I planned senior year.
I walk into class and see Leah's head down.
I looked around the class to see if I could find Logan.
I wanted to talk to him before hand and destroy all possibilities of him becoming a suspect.
The stalker was following a pattern, and if I was right the next target would be Logan.
He wasn't there though.
I walked over the our table and quietly took a seat next to Leah.
Her phone sat beside her.
I looked down at her sleeping figure and sighed.
Her phone screen suddenly brightened up. It was a message from Logan.
Running late, don't be mad. And I found something, so please take the day off today. Love you.
Wow.
Leah suddenly jolts up and looks at me.
"What are you doing here?"
"Where am I?"
"You're in AP chemistry," I tell her taking my books out. "Is the class over? Why are there less people?" She asks paranoid.
"Relax would you? Class hasn't even started yet," I say.
"Thank god," she mutters.
"Your boyfriends running late by the way, thought you should know," I tell her.
She immediately looks down at her phone and sighs.
"Did you sleep in school last night? You're wearing the same clothes," I say.
"Thanks for noticing my inability to change my clothes Davis," she snapped.
What's up with her?
"I'm sorry – I just had to work the whole night. There was a thing at the stowaway," she says.
"I know. I was there," I say.
"Oh."
"You should really give yourself a break," I tell her.
"I'm sorry — I don't mean to be rude or anything but why are you being nice to me?"
Why am I being nice to her?
"I actually don't know the answer to that," I tell her unsure.
"Leah!" Someone yells.
Logan comes in huffing and puffing.
"Hey, did you sleep in again?" She chuckles. "Yeah," he says shyly. "Hey Connor," he smiles.
