"Gray, right here! Pass me the damn ball," I yell and run towards the hoop. Grayson stalls Adam for a bit, twists and throws the ball at me.

Instantly I catch the ball and dribble it all the way to the hoop. With every ounce of energy I had left from today mornings practice, I lifted my hands up and shot for the hoop. The ball flew, and circled around the basketball ring before it smoothly fell through the netted hoop.

"Yes!" I yell in victory.

"That's enough for today, hit the showers buffoons!" Coach W, yells for us.

"You did good today Davis," Coach W tells me and I nod in appreciation as I grab my gym bag.

"Damn Davis, did you sleep this summer?" Adam mocks me. "Plenty, looks like you didn't though," I hit him playfully and head for my locker.

I enter the code and open it to retrieve my clothes.

"So, I heard a nasty rumor that you and Amy Bradley got it on at Sean's party last night," Grayson asks me as he rummages through his locker.

"Drop the rumor shit when you know it's true," I roll my eyes at him. "I didn't think you'd take us that seriously man. It's totally cool if you're crushing on Summer, we just like to tease you about it," he says.

"I don't like Summer, I'm over what we had and I'm fucking over her. All this monogamy shit was giving me the headache as is," I tell him and slam the locker door shut.

"Whatever you say man," Grayson nods. The door swings open and reveals a droopy Logan ready to kill anyone who came his way.

"Look who finally decided to show up! Coach W yelled at him.

"I'm sorry coach, I slept in," he says and drops his bag. "Yeah well, I'm sorry too. 50 laps around the court, go!"

"Why didn't you stop him last night?" I sigh.

"Does he ever listen to me?" Grayson rolls his eyes and walks away.

After getting a quick shower and dumping all my gym clothes in the locker I head outside.

I had to go collect my schedule and wait for Grayson. Or he'd cry like a girl about it.

Believe it or not I had odd ducks for friends, but we've been friends since we were in diapers so that should count for something.

Greeting almost everyone on my way to the office, I tightened the strap of my backpack and pushed open the door.

"Morning Mrs. H," I greet.
