TAKE A HINT DUDE YOU AREN'T MY MATE!!!!

               Previously in Lunarstar Academy....

  "What do you want pup?!" He said venom dripping from his mouth with every word.
The mutt growled in response. "I want you to give me back my mate leech." The dog replied reaching towards me again.
I dodged his advance. I looked at him with disgust. "Mate!? I don't think so mutt!"

ALEX'S POV

  I'm gonna kill that stupid mutt, how dare he touch MY mate!!! Then he has the audacity to call Emily his!? HELL NO! I swear if he ever touches her I'll rip him to shreds.

  "Alex you're not killing anybody." Emily  says bringing me back to reality. "We'll go to uncle and figure out what's going on."

   She seems annoyed...how do you DE-stress a girl? What do girls even like? Well Emily likes books right? I mean shes always reading...well at least always trying to read. Maybe i should get her a book?Yes, that's it I'll get her a book! But wait what kind of book does she like? Romance? No, she doesn't seem like the romantic type. Wait i'm a idiot, Alex just ask her what books she likes. I mentally face palmed, no then she'll know what i'm going to do. She brought books with her right? I'll just sneak over to her bookshelf when shes busy with her family and look at the types she likes then go to a local bookstore and get her a book.

   I smiled to myself for coming up with such a brilliant fool proof plan. She's gonna be so happy: or most likely amused. I was so caught up in my thoughts i didn't realize we were walking somewhere. It wasn't until Emily grabbed my hand that i realized i wasn't alone.  I looked down at our entwined hands and started smiling for a different reason. But when i looked up i saw where we were and i audibly gulped.

EMILY'S POV

    I glanced over at Alex with a slight smirk. He does realize i'm hearing everything he's thinking right?  He seems so deep in thought, it's kinda adorable. But i wont let him know that. After about 15 minutes of walking and listening to Alex's scheming we arrived at my uncle's office. The entire time that stupid mutt kept trying to hold my hand and pull me towards him. I ripped my hand out of his for what seems like the 100th time and glared at him while i grabbed Alex's hand. That seemed to pull him out of his thoughts because his mind all of a sudden went quiet.

    I knocked on the door and entered dragging Alex in while the pup followed soon after. Uncle Vlad was doing some paperwork at his desk with a bored expression on his face. Poor uncle; I know how much he hates paperwork. He didn't seem to notice we were here so i cleared my throat making our presence known. he looked up from his desk and smiled, relieved to have a distraction from whatever he had to work on.

"Ah, why isn't it my favorite niece?" he said standing from his chair.

"You're just saying that cause i'm giving you an excuse to stop doing boring paper work." I say laughing a bit. "But we have a bit of a problem uncle."

His face turned serious "What kind of problem Emily?"

I was about to  answer but Alex beat me to it. "Emily and I are mates."

Uncle looked at our hands and back at us with a confused expression."Okay...? That doesn't seem like a problem..."

"It isn't." I replied "the problem is that he -" i gestured to the mutt "says that he and I are mates..." I felt Alex tense up "But I feel no mate bond with him."

Uncle looked at us with more confusion "That does sound like a problem... I haven't heard of anything like this before."

"Neither have I uncle but i was hoping you could help us figure out a way to fix this."

   Uncle was just about to reply when whats his face once again grabbed me and tried to pull me away from Alex. But before I could do anything Alex had him in a choke hold with red eyes.

Alex leaned in close to the mutts ear and said in a menacing voice "If you ever touch my mate again, I'll personally rip you apart."

"Don't you mean my mate, leech.?" The mutt choked out.

   At the sound of the violence Uncle's guards rushed in to protect him. When they saw a enraged vampire and mutt they immediately Jumped into action. They managed to pull them apart but Alex was still trying to attack whats his face so they started trying to subdue him.

They were about to break him arm when  someone called out "DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM!"   It took a moment for me to realize it was me who said it.

   Everyone stopped and looked at me. I was trying to keep calm I didn't want to make matter worse by losing control. Uncle stepped forward and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Take...?" he said waiting for the mutt to state his name.

"Zachary, sir." the mutt replied.

Uncle nodded "Take Zachary out of here. I'll speak with him shortly."

  The guards nodded and dragged Zachary out. As soon as the door closed I rushed to Alex who was all but foaming at  the mouth. I looked at the guards holding him and ordered that they release him at once. When they did I wrapped my arms around him and he instantly started to calm down.

He slowly wrapped his arms around my too and started to breath in my scent.

"I don't want him touching you, ever." he said into my hair.

"I don't want him to either. You're my mate; not him." I replied.

   His arms tightened slightly. After a moment  we all left the office but when we opened the door there was the mutt sitting on the bench surrounded by guards. He must have heard the door open because as soon as we did he jumped up and tried to get to me.

"MATE" he said

Ugh..."TAKE A HINT DUDE YOU AREN'T MY MATE!!!" I screamed in frustration. Alex wrapped his arm over my shoulders and lead me back to our room.
