EMILY'S POV
If I'm being honest here seeing Alex act so cold and cruel was kind of off putting. I was just standing there watching him torture the man who almost killed me, and I wasn't sure if I should stop him or help him. I looked at the pathetic man in front of me and then looked at Alex and decided it was time we got him cleaned up.
"Alex, lets go, you need to clean yourself up and get some rest. You can continue this tomorrow." I said pulling him away.
He resisted me at first but decided to listen to me and aloud me to guide him from the dungeons.
ALEX'S POV
Once we were far enough away I turned Emily to face me. I stared at her, trying to make sure that she was really here. Trying to make sure that when I open my eyes tomorrow she'll be here safe and sound by my side and not still locked in that room on the brink of death. Despite what she went through she still had that same look in her eyes. She didn't look broken, she still looked like she was ready and willing to kick someone's ass when needed. She still looked like Emily, not the shell of who she used to be, like you'd expect her to be after going through what she did.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, it takes more than what that fucker did to break me." she replied "Now come on, we need to feed and get some sleep."
I just nodded and allowed her to drag me back to our room, soon after she laid in her bed she fell asleep. I tried to sleep as well, but all I could do was lay in my bed looking at Emily. After about a hour of doing that I got up and crawled in beside her.
"What are you doing?" she asked still half asleep.
"I cant sleep. It's okay just go back to sleep." I answered wrapping my arms around her. Soon after I found myself drifting off to sleep.
