Emily looked horrible walking out of my office. I've never seen her look so weak and worn down. I looked towards Dominique and Zachery dismissing them, telling them to go to their room. After they left I called in my top guard.
"Go pack my bags, I'll be leaving as soon as possible."

EMILY'S POV

Today is the last day of the break and let me tell you this entire week turned to shit really quick. Zach the mutt wouldn't leave me alone which pissed Alex off to no end. It got to the point that Alex and I moved into a different room and didn't leave except when we went to spend time with my parents.

After what happened in uncles office, he left almost immediately. He still hasn't returned and the only update we got from him was that it's taking him longer than expected. So Alex and I are in our room packing up our stuff, well more like I'm packing and Alex is being crushed with hugs from my mom.

"Emily I'm begging you save me!" he said through our mind link sending me a desperate look.

"What do you expect me to do? You're just gonna have to wait it out. Besides you're the one who wanted to make a good impression. Congrats you did just that." I replied as I continued packing my things.

"Yeah but I didn't expect this kind of reaction! I just wanted to make sure your family didn't banish or execute me or something."

I rolled my eyes deciding to help him out "Mom let him go he needs to pack. We leave to go back to school in a few hours." I said zipping up my last suit case.

She let out a sigh before responding "Which means their is plenty of time for him to pack."

"Mom do you want to ruin his chance to get a good education?"

"Well no...but-"

"No buts mom. Just let the poor guy go."

She very reluctantly let Alex go and left to go find dad whilst pouting and mumbling like a child. I know I've said this before but I'll say it again, I swear if I didn't know better I'd say she was human. I mean what kind of vampire acts like this? What kind of MOTHER acts like this?

Once the door closed Alex, to make sure he was safe, went and locked the door. He sighed and turned to me with a exasperated expression "Are you 100% sure that she is a vampire?"

I toss him his suit cases before responding " I ask myself that almost everyday...I'm still not sure about the answer to it. Now hurry up and pack, otherwise she'll find a way to keep you here and then I really wont be able to help you."

" EMILY LATRELL I AM 100% VAMPIRE AND YOU KNOW IT!!!"

The look of pure fear that crossed Alex's face when my mother flew in from the window was quite amusing, however now in order to get her to leave I was gonna have to enlist the help of my dad.

I went and opened the door leaning out before shouting at the top of my lungs "DAD COME GET YOUR WIFE!!!"

ALEX'S POV

When I heard those words leave Emily's mouth I was frozen with fear. You see Emily's mom loves me as shown before. Her dad however is an entirely different story. If it wasn't for the fact that we're roommates as well as mates, I'm pretty sure he would have beaten and tortured me 100 times over by now.

"WHAT IS SHE DOING NOW?!" He yelled back.

"SHE'S HARASSING ALEX!"

"I SAY LET HER!"

Emily rolled her eyes, obviously getting annoyed by her family's behavior. "DAD GET YOUR ASS UP HERE AND TAKE YOUR WIFE! YOUR DAUGHTER AND HER ROOMMATE NEED TO PACK!"

There was a slight pause but then much like Emily's mother we heard him grumbling incoherently as he made his way to our room. It didn't take long for her father to make it to the room.

"Raven come on the kids need to go back to school."

"Jonathon tell them I'm 100% vampire"

He just rolled his eyes dragging a now pouting Raven away.

It wasn't long after that whole ordeal that both she and I were packed and heading back to school. When we got on the plane we got word from her uncle that he would be meeting up with us once we get back to school. Hopefully here soon we'll have some answers.

A/N: Hey guys! Here is a new update. I realized that I didn't really give you a good look into the type of relationship Emily has with her parents along with a look into the types of people they are and how they feel about Alex.

Let me know if you want some more chapters with Emily and Alex's family in them. I know you guys probably really want them to be at school now so the next chapter will include some classes and student interactions. Maybe you'll meet some angels or maybe even some demons. Let me know which you want to meet first.
