I sat reading the Opera when Erik came out of the mirror. "What is the matter Little Mouse?" He asked just behind me. I turned to look up at him and noticed, with a smile, he didn't wear his mask like usual. "They have gotten Clarotta back. She is Prima Dona again. I play the part if a silent pageboy whom she is having an affair with." I said looking back at the Opera before me. "Why do they insist on disobeying me!? If it were not for me this Opera house would be a disaster!" He yelled causing me to jump slightly from fright. "Wh-what do you plan to do Erik?" I asked. "Tonight will have a dire consequence die to their disobedience." He said and looked at me. The frightened look on my face must have caught his attention as his features softened. "Do not fear for yourself or your sister Little Mouse. I promise to protect you both with my very life." He said and placed a hand on my shoulder causing my heart to skip. 'I'm not in love with Erik.' I thought. He removed his hand leaving a tightening in my chest as he back away from me, his eyes slightly wide. "What is the matter Erik?" I asked looking at him, scrunching my brows together. "It's nothing Little Mouse." He said quickly regaining his composure. "Just be ready to witness a horrific thing tonight." And with that he left. I sighed and lightly ran my fingers over the makeup covered scar.

That night in the middle of the Opera Clarotta began to croak like a frog. 'This isn't horrific. Its funny...but no where near horrific. He isn't done yet then.' I thought trying not to laugh. The audience began to chuckle and then scream and run out. Hanging from the rafters was the old man who would always tell stories about the Phantom. I hadn't remembered his name. Never cared to. I stared in horror at what the Phantom was willing to do. Armand and Richard came running out onto the stage. A letter floated down from the top. 'You will do well to learn not to disobey me again Monisouers. You will, within a weeks time, be putting on my newest Opera Don Jaun starring Christine. I will have the Opera on your desks by the time you get back. You will also be throwing a mascaraed ball in three days. That is all. And if you disobey me again there will be even more dire consequences.

O.G.

"You will do well to do as he says Monisouers. He will not hesitate to do what he must to gain your obedience." Madame Giry said. "And how do you know all this about the Phantom?" Richard asked. "I have been here for years. Since I was but a girl. I have seen as much as anyone whose been here just as long has. He has no mercy." She said and walked away. I ran to my dressing room. There I shut and locked the door behind me and quickly opened the mirror. Once there I ran down to his liar. "Erik!" I yelled as I stopped next to the Organ. He had told me to go no further than this. "Erik?" I called out softer this time. He was no where to be seen. I began to wander around and opened a curtain. There lying in a swan shaped black bed was Erik. He looked so handsome and peaceful sleeping. "Erik..." I whispered and gingerly touched his cheek with my fingertips. "Oh who am I kidding? I have indeed fallen for you. I have fallen hard Erik and I don't know what to do. I will keep my promise no matter how much it hurts to help you win Christine. No matter what I must do." I said and turned away and walked out of his liar.

Three days passed and I sat getting ready for the ball and sighed. I had my plan. It would hopefully put Christine right into the Phantoms arms.
