Dylan and I are still snuggling when we wake up to Max barking. Dylan quickly gets up and looks around,I get up slower then him but still fast. "Where is Gale?!" Dylan ask frustratingly. I walk out and see Gale walking back to the store with a bag of something. "Where were you?" I ask him as we walk back into the store. He sets the bag on the ground and pours out magazines and pop. Dylan chuckles as Gale says,"I love this all together." Where did you get it,I ask as I smile. "There was a little kid crying outside,she was about six,and she kept crying to let me in." I killed her and she had this with her,"Gale finishes happily. I stop smiling and walk outside to see the little limp body laying on a rock. I go up to her and put a finger against neck,and find no pulse. I storm back into the store and punch Gale in the jaw,and tackle him. "You kill an incident little girl!" I yell as I punch him in the jaw once more and get off him. When he gets up Dylan walks up calmly and says,"you are a heartless bastard and punches him in the stomach." I can see Dylan is holding back more,so I put my hand on his arm. Gale falls to his knees and says,"your just jealous for not having the heart to kill." Gale has a bloody nose,and is coughing up more blood.
I bury the little girl,and find some flowers to put on the dirt grave. Dylan and I stand by it and as we walk away it starts to rain once again,it rains but yet nothing grows. Gale is sitting with Max,but Max is sitting farther away. I pack up the stuff and start to walk towards,nowhere really just looking for the army. We have been walking for an hour,when Dylan puts his hand in mine as we walk. I look up at him,it looks like he is worried about something. Max is following slowly behind us and stops and barks at a shadow. "It's zombies,"I whisper loudly. Dylan nods as we both pull out or guns,I am about to ask where Gale went but the zombies charge at us.
I pick up Max and put him in my bag,with his head sticking out. Dylan shoots one in the head,but is not so lucky with the next,bigger zombie. He trys to shoot it in the head but the zombie dodges it,I shoot I right in the neck as it is about tackle Dylan. Dylan looks at me quickly and winks,I smile as I shoot another. As we are shooting them as they come in groups of five,the groups start to become more than five. Dylan and I are back to back when they move closer,"they seem more..confident,"I say as we continue to shoot them. "Don't they seem like,kinda robots I mean they have color in their eyes,"Dylan says. I bite my lip and say,"I noticed that awhile ago I just didn't wanna tell you." Why?! Did you think I was going to think you were lying,he asks frustratingly. "I didn't know what I thought, I was nervous that you would think..it was crazy!" I say. He has a zombie holding on to his chest as it trys to bite him,but Dylan pushes it off him. "Okay I can see why you would think that,"he yells from under pressure. Exactly! I say as I stab and shoot one zombie. Max has gotten out of the bag and is barking the zombies,some zombies go to attack but I run to Max. I step in front of him and shoot at the zombies,but it doesn't shoot. I quickly look at my gun and see its jammed,I throw it at a zombie and run after I get Max.
As I am running I trip over my untied shoe,I fall on the grave of the little girl. It takes me a minute to realize that,when I do I quickly scramble to get up. But a zombie has gotten on top of me and is now clawing at my throat. It's claws are as long as it's own fingers. I push my head away from them as someone kicks it off of me,I look up and see Gale standing over me. I get up and pick up Max,Dylan is walking over to me as we hear a truck drive up the road. "It's the army!" We have to go,I say and start running.
I do but another truck comes and blocks the exit,Dylan looks at Gale and says,"that's where you went,to get them." "You are on their side,"Dylan says. "Oh Dylan you have finally figured me out,Gale says. I look at Gale with disbelief,I'm so surprised!" Ali you knew I cut you in the leg on purpose,and you told yourself it was a lie. "And you didn't tell Dylan about your beliefs,you just kept going on thinking it's all going to be okay,well it's not,"he finishes happily. Then the army speaks through a microphone,"Ali please walk slowly to Gale and come with us,"a soldier says. I have Max in one hand and Dylan's hand in mine as I say,"you're going have to try harder then that." The soldier glares at me and tells Gale to grab only me.
Dylan gets in front of me as he holds my hands,Gale pulls out a gun and tells him to move. Dylan doesn't,but it looks like Gale can't shoot him as if someone told him not to. Then Gale just hits him in the head with his gun and Dylan falls on the ground but still breathes. Gale walks towards me and I turn around and run,then I fell something hit me in the back of my head. I fall on my stomach and turn over,as Gale picks me up. Dylan is laying on the ground unconscious with Max,I try to pull away from Gale but can't. It feels like I'm paralyzed,but I'm not I just can't move. Shock, I hate she you're in shock during a important time! I think to myself.
