There Once Was Life

Chapter 19

I am waking up,but can't open my eyes I can only hear murmured voices. I try to move around but am sitting down tied to a metal chair,I can barely move my hands. They are tied behind my back,and my back is roped against the chair. Then I hear a familiar female voice,I am about to realize who it is but the thought goes away as I hear her say,"tie her tighter." A male answers and says,"yes ma'am," then I feel my hands push closer together and grunt. When I try to push away the male hits me,and after he does my body goes limp. As my body goes limp I hear walking growing fainter,and a door close.

After awhile I can finally open my eyes,and when I do I see I am in a small room. With walls of grey stone and floors covered with cobwebs and dirt,there is one small window. I am in the middle of the room and I try to stand up a little to look out it. I fall back into my chair,without seeing outside. Instantly I remember how I got here,Dylan,Gale it all happen so fast. Where am I? Gale! He must have been the male that tied me to this metal chair. I am just thinking about how Romania is going to save me from this,she always saves from trouble but how from this? When I hear the door open and someone walking to me. I close my eyes and pretend I'm asleep.

But when I do something walks in front of me,I know because the light from the window is gone. "I know your awake now open your eyes or I'll make you,"Gale says fiercely. I open my eyes not because he said but because I don't want to believe it is Gale. He smiles and says,"you look so beautiful when your surprised." I glare at him and say,"Romania will kill you and the army,you know it too." He smiles then busts out laughing as he says,"I highly doubt that." Anyways I came to get you and bring you to a torture room,he says as he unties my body not my hands. When he is done he roughly pulls me close to him and starts to walk to the door,I pull away but am punished. He turns around and slaps me,"your already getting hurt before you get to the torture room,"he says.

We arrive at a metal door,and Gale knocks on it just as a women opens it. I would've fell to the ground if Gale wasn't holding me,Romania is standing there with a fake,frightening smile on her wrinkly old face. She laughs and walks away as she waves us in,Gale pushes me in and sets me down in a chair right in front of her desk. "Well Ali how have you been?" She asks sarcastically. I just stare at her in shock,as she asks me. Then I say,"I'm guessing you would know you did have Gale watching us this whole time." Once again she does her fake smile and says,"to be honest I thought you would have found out." Gale chuckles,"she knew but she didn't know if she was right she didn't even tell Dylan." Romania looks at me and tells Gale to untie me. Gale looks at her surprised but does it anyways. I look at my wrist when he is done,they have red marks from me trying to get out.

"Now,you need to know something Alexandria,"Romania says. My eyes widen and ask,"how the hell do you know my real name?!" I have my ways,she says. "Then what do I need to know?" You can either be with us,the army and help us rule the world." Or you can join the group that you used to be in and fight us to bring humanity back to this horrible world,"she finishes. I look at her amused and say,"you captured me and lied to me..and you set up Hayes to kill Sam!!" I yell towards the end. "Well at least she figured that out,I thought I would have to tell her my self,"she says. I glare at her and say,"I think I'll join my group...which isn't yours." She looks at me in frustration as she says,"you'll have to break out then." That's not fair! You asked me which one,and I choose." She smiles,and I can feel Gale is also. "I never said how you'll get there,so anyways good luck trying to escape." Gale picks me up and ties me up as he walks me to my cell like room.

He sets me down softly in my chair and turns away. "I thought you were real,I mean I thought you weren't faking,"I say. He turns and faces me,"I was real I was afraid about the plan to kill Sam,I didn't want to." When they told me I wanted to tell you,but I didn't and I'm sorry,"he finishes and looks at the stone floor. "I didn't realize what I did in tell it was to late,and when I saw you in so much pain I wanted to leave you so I wouldn't have to tell you,"he says. I continue to stare at him,I didn't know he was in the plan to kill Sam. He looks up at me and I see tears just waiting to fall,but they don't instead he says,"I hope you can forgive." I will..if you can get me out of here,"I say. His facial features then go hard and cruel looking as he says, "I'm not stupid to cross Romania." You can join the rebellions team,we could bring this world back to life,"I say. Out of nowhere he slaps me and yells,"you will die trying." He then walks out and leaves me in this small dirty room. Shit that hurt,I say out loud.
