Cara ended up being exactly how Thomas and Minho described her. She was super nice and funny and perfect for Newt. It was impossible to hate her, which made me want to hate her even more. But I have bigger problems than whether or not I hate Cara, I have to figure out how to get over Newt.
It seems like the best way to get over one person is to start liking a new person, so I need a date. I ask Teresa to set me up with someone, and, reluctantly, she agrees.
His name is Brad and Teresa told me to meet him at this fancy restaurant downtown.
When I get to the restaurant he's already at our table waiting. I almost stop when I see how gorgeous he is. He has long, wavy, dark hair and bright blue eyes. He looks like he lives at the gym and his teeth are so white they're almost blinding.
He gets up, introduces himself and pulls my chair out for me.
We start talking and I learn that he's a firefighter and he volunteers at a homeless shelter in his spare time. He runs at least two miles a day and helps coach a youth basketball team on the weekends.
I tell him all the boring stuff about me, but he seems genuinely interested.
Before I know it dinner is over and I'm driving home.
