“… Ice will have to be all the girls…um…”toy” for a week.” Midori Sensei announced over the microphone. A huge cheer from the girls in the stadium could be heard. It was clear that the girls were already hyped for the possibility of Ice losing, this was, in fact, the first time Ice has ever attended a sports session, even if this was a duel. Hiriya looked on worriedly, wondering if Ice would really be able to pull this off as this duel has not only become a simple dispute, but a fight for a human’s freedom. In the middle of the stadium, Ice and Minerva stood on opposite sides of the field. Ice looked towards the class who were sitting at the right side of the stadium, after turning back towards Minerva he gave a slight yawn. Minerva, on the other hand, was smiling as she looked at the class of squealing girls.

“Seems the odds are already in my favor,” Minerva smirked.

“… Let’s just get this over with; I need to get more information and sleep. I haven’t slept a wink since I was trying to help Hiriya search for information.” Ice replied casually.

This made Minerva angrier. Without a sound, she virtualized her EM armor. It was a pink coloured with 8 pink spinels. Then she aimed a pink magic circle at Ice.

[ELEMENT:FLORA. SAKURA STORM]

A swirling storm of sakura flowers erupted from the circle and spiraled towards Ice, engulfing Ice completely. A huge roar erupted in the crowd as the first move was made. However as the sakura flowers subsided, Ice still stood there, as if nothing had happened, the only difference was that there was a white EM armor with 6 crystals on his right arm. Minerva was taken aback.

“Hmm? Are you finished? Well then, it’s my turn then.”

Ice readied a running stance and Minerva aimed at the ground and a green magic circle appeared.

[ELEMENT: LIGHT: LIGHT DASH]

[ELEMENT: FLORA: SAKURA SHEILD]

As Ice dashed towards Minerva, a tight wall of sakura flowers erupted in front of Minerva. As Ice vanished into a line of light. The wall started to surround Minerva as the line of light curved around the wall. As a circle of light was formed around the wall, Ice reappeared at the start point of the dash. Ice’s EM armor changed from white to red and the gems changed to rubies. A red magic circle formed on Ice’s EM armor.

[ELEMENT: FIRE: SPARK FIRE]

Ice clicked his fingers and the circle of light ignited and started to burn the wall of flowers. As the fire burnt the trees to ash, Minerva had vanished. As Ice slowly advanced forward to examine the situation, trees roots suddenly erupted beneath Ice. Ice jumped back just in time, however behind him, another pair of tree roots had already erupted from the ground and quickly work their way to restrain him.

“…shi…”

The roots fasten their hold on Ice, a flower pod paved away the earth and erupted from the ground. As the flower opened, Minerva gracefully stepped out of it. The girls in the stand started to squeal with delight at the turn of events.

“Haha~ what “Special Student”, just because you can use different elements together, you think you’re superior.”

Ice twitched a bit at the moment that Minerva mentioned it, it was like getting back a feeling he had lost long ago, ‘Special Student’, a term that had be placed on Ice the moment he had transferred to the class, it didn’t take long for the class to quickly try and avoid him as they were afraid of what EM he would use during any given situation. He could still remember the talk for his transfer…

“Special Student?” Ice asked.

“Yup, that’s right.”  Principal Ryouma answered as he wheeled his chair back into the position behind the desk.

Principal Ryouma was Rita’s grandfather, he had been involved with various incidents with regards to Elimination in the pass and as a way to pass on knowledge to defend themselves from the threat, he created Riyama Academy, Seated neatly in his chair at the principal’s desk, he picked up a lukewarm coffee mug from the desk and put it to his lips, after a few sips, he placed it back on top of the desk. The principal’s room had a coffee table and bookshelves lined on both sides of the room and single clock which hung over the door. Instead of time, it showed 6 symbols and had no clock hand, the symbols were; ‘水、土、風、火、光、闇’ (Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Light, Dark) respectively.

“Do you remember what that means?” said the principal.

“If I’m correct, special students are students who can use multiple EMs. Due to this inconsistency with elements, Special students are required to attempt to show all of their elements and test their levels, and therefore require not wearing a blazer of any color. Right?”

“Correct, you understand you are also under that category due to your ability, right?”

Ice fell silent.

“This will be hard on you, there will be students who will hate you for your skills… Especially with ‘that’ skill.”

“I understand”

“Also, yours is even more special so I must warn you to restrict your EM Level to 6, understood?”

“…”

Awakening from the flashback he just had, Ice attempted to free himself again, however the roots slowly tightened further as he tried. Minerva proudly waltzed towards Ice.

“This is my win then. Just kindly give up and accept your punishment.”

Ice didn’t reply at this point, all he did was give a small smirk as he slowly changed color till he was ice blue and shattered. This made Minerva become shocked.

“…ch, ‘Ice Doll’. When did he…”

Before Minerva could finish her sentence, she quickly jumped out of the way of an icicle, which was aimed at her previous location. As the stadium began to chill, Ice reappeared landing on top of the icicle with a light blue EM armor on his arm.

“…ch, this won’t end any sooner. Modori-Sensei! Requesting permission for ‘Exilation’!”

Midori-Sensei silently nodded and Minerva called out to a boy in the stadium stands.

“Desmond!”

The boy from the crowd stood up and jumped into the stadium field. He wore a blue blazer. As he stood next to Minerva, then she turned back to Ice and stared at him.

“Hah~ Fine, if you can beat me, anything is allowed.” Ice sighed.

After getting Ice’s permission as well, the Minerva and the boy nodded to each other and yelled:

[EXILATION]

A spiral of water and flowers swirled around the two. The boy liquefied and then crystalized into 8 sapphires, which attached onto Minerva’s EM armor. A symbol representing Exilation also shone above her gauntlet on her right arm.

“Now, let’s begin.” Minerva said.
