“Ice, I don’t think you should go alone.” Rita said sternly.
The group of 4, Alicia, Hiriya, Ice and Rita were all sitting in Hiriya’s living room. They had been discussing about the encounter with Mori earlier in the day and what they should do in response to her message. Alicia still hugging Hiriya’s arm tightly, Rita who was looking worriedly at Ice and Ice who remained as if it wasn’t much of a fuss to make out of. Ice had suggested that he go alone earlier since he was the one who received the message and Rita, being the worrywart that she was, refused this suggestion.
“ It’s going to be fine. It’ll work out somehow.”
“It’s one Exiler against two, no matter how strong you are Ice, that’s still a bit…”
“Rita.”
Ice looked sternly at Rita, this was yet again, another expression that Hiriya had never seen before. But as if like magic, Rita stopped complaining immediately. Ice stood up.
“This is just in case. It’s clear that they are aiming for Alicia. And if they tried any sneak attacks, it would be better this way.”
After he said this, Ice headed towards the front door and went out into the cold dark night. The room became completely silent. Both Rita and Hiriya had no idea what to say. Everything had happened so fast, the appearance of Alicia in their lives, learning about another ‘world’ they never knew and trying to keep in the balance of their normal lives. Hiriya stood up, which knocked Alicia off balance.
“I still think we should go with Ice.” Hiriya said.
Rita silently nodded and the two exited the house with Alicia in tow, to chase after Ice…
The two arrived at Espire Pier fifteen minutes later. The sea’s loud crashing waves during the night covered all sounds that could be produced on the outside of the warehouses. Quickly walking pass the various other warehouse numbers, the two arrived at Warehouse 47. They slipped in by the side entrance and hid behind the empty barrels that had lined the warehouse’s interior, in the center of the warehouse, was Ice.
“I’m here as you requested. Now show yourself.”
The clink and clatter of a small object dropping was heard followed by the rolling sound of it. Hiriya and Rita also took this time to peer over the barrels. A small vial rolled towards Ice. Ice picked it up and examined it’s contents, it was shaped similar to that of a shotgun pellet with a glass casing and a mysterious glowing purple liquid in it. At the same time, A small dark spiral appeared in front of Ice. Ice quickly jumped back and was readying to virtualize his EM armour. The dark spiral swirled larger and large and two hooded people walked out for the center of it. They threw back their hooded revealing their long green hair and short red hair respectively. Hiriya immediately recognized the two, Mori Spring and Eizen Ravielle
“Did you like that present we just gave you?” Eizen asked.
“This is…?”
“A liquid to induce Judgementation. Our ‘God’ insisted on giving this to you.”
“… Is that it?”
“That’s it.”
“…”
Ice carefully examined the vial. Then, without a word, he crushed it in his hand. The shards of glass created by this pierced Ice’s hand, the mysterious liquid and Ice’s blood merged to form a darker purple color and it slowly trickled from his hand. Ice smirked.
“Looks like you were unsuccessful.”
Eizen and Mori sneered. Then the two vanished inside of a dark spiral. Ice gave a sigh of relief. He then turned in the direction of where Hiriya and Rita were hiding.
“You’re there aren’t you? Come out already.”
The three sheepishly walked from behind the barrel, Alicia still hugging Hiriya.
“Ice. Your hand…”
Ice quickly hid his hand.
“It’ll be fine. I’ll just use my elemental magic. It seems they failed to created the medicine for Judgementation.”
“But why did they come to you?” Hiriya asked.
“I don’t know either. But this proves that the person behind this isn’t mindlessly going around ‘Judgementation’ every Exiled he sees and if my research from the library’s books is correct. That vial of medicine is an enhancer to make Judgementation on Exilers possible.”
“What!”
“This is getting serious… we need to discover this ‘God’s identity faster.”
“Maybe ‘he’ might know something.” Hiriya said.
“‘He’?”
“‘The White Beast’.”
“So how do you plan on finding ‘The White Beast’?” Ice asked.
“By solving the mystery of how he gets to school.” Hiriya replied.
