A familiar noise broke out. It was my phone ringing. Try Hard drowned the sound of Forever. You've got to be kidding me.
I distanced myself from Calum and grabbed into my pocket for my phone. He got up and unplugged his phone. Who the hell was it this time though?
I answered without checking who it was.
I sighed deeply, "what?"
"Hello, Rachel, it's Sam," her voice was like static, "so you're paying me when you get back, right?"
"Is that really why you're calling" I asked, annoyed. I should just turn my phone off so nothing could bother me and Calum.
"Basically" Sam scoffed.
"Shit because I thought something was wrong" I said a little relieved.
I looked over at Calum who was now sat on his couch. He glared at me with puppy dog eyes and pouted. I covered the phone, "I'm sorry Calum." I genuinely felt sorry.
He just nodded.
"Just be home soon remember, or I'll charge more by the minute" Sam said with force. If she wasn't my cousin, I don't think I'd like her.
"Whatever, bye" I hung up the phone. I turned my phone off and threw it in anger on the other couch.
"Ugh I'm sorry Calum, I turned my phone off so no more interruptions" I said as I walked over to Calum on the opposite couch. I sat next to him.
I received no response as he buried his face in a pillow.
I grew worried, I gently took the pillow from Calum. I saw his face. He wasn't mad but looked let down.
"What do you want me to do," I asked. I spontaneously hugged him from the side.
He surprisingly hugged back, tightly. His head rested on my head like two puzzle pieces just found their fit. I nuzzled my head into his neck.
So does this count as cuddling? I love his hugs, I just think about laying in his arms most of the time.
"I only have an hour left before I have to leave" I whisper in his ear.
Calum breathed heavily on my neck. It sent chills down my spine. "No don't go" he whispered back.
"Let's do something then" I spoke softly.
"But I like this," Calum commented. He had his arm around my waist. We were still hugging or should I say cuddling now. It wasn't weird, it made me feel complete.
We stayed like that for 30 minutes while we talked about useless business and things. There wasn't one awkward silence.
"Calum where's your bathroom," I asked, "I need to go badly."
He laughed light-heartedly, "down the hall first right."
"Thanks," I parted away. I felt cold, I didn't have Calum's warmth anymore. I grabbed my phone casually from the other couch as Calum turned the T.V. on.
I strided down the hall and found the bathroom. I lied, I didn't need to go. I wanted to check my phone...
My phone turned on and messages from Ashton, Briana, Luke, and Sam popped up.
Ashton: Luke told me your address so is it a date tomorrow? :)
I didn't want to be mean, and I already said I would so I said:
Me: Yes it's a date Ashton :)
Briana: ME AND LUKE HAVE BEEN PLAYING SINCE EARLY THIS MORNING AND I BEEN BEATING HIM OMG
Me: DAMN LUKE DOESNT EVEN STAY UP HES USUALLY SNOOZING
It's true, Luke doesn't stay up, unless it is for video games. He's only stayed up with me twice!
Luke: Rachel! Briana is just killing it. Btw I just told Ashton your address
Me: Ik, he told me.. BUT IM AT CALUMS HOUSE FOR MORE DANCING LESSONS
Sam: dude you have an hour remember or extra charges
Me: yeah, have you guys been good?
I pretended to pee so I turned on the sink then flushed the toilet and washed my hands.
I came out with my phone in my pocket. I walked into the living room to find Calum watching Spongebob. I heard him laughing from the bathroom.
"I have to go soon," I frowned, "but we can do something like this another time."
Calum sat up, "awwwwww, when?"
I glanced at my phone, 1:43, it read. My parents would be home at 2:30. "I'll text you when, but right now I have to go" I turned and walked down the hall.
"Wait!" Calum shouted, his voice echoed.
I turned around and was stunned. He almost bumped into me.
"Let me walk you to your car," he suggested.
We walked outside and ended up in front of my car.
Out of the blue, he hugged me, "thanks for keeping me company today Rach."
"Yeah," I said as I hugged back, "it was fun besides my phone constantly being hit up."
Before I could finish what I said, he kissed my forehead, "bye!" Calum darted back inside before I was able to process what just happened.
I bit my lip so I could contain my smile but I just couldn't.
Haha but really? HE KISSED MY FOREHEAD. Now who can say that Calum Hood kissed her forehead? Me!
I smiled hard again as I made my way into my car. As I pulled out of his drive and onto Luke's street, I let out a loud scream. The kids who were riding their bikes shot me a 'wow, she's crazy' look. Only if they knew...
Try Hard came on the radio. PERFECT, I thought.
"SHE'S 17 I TOLD HER I'M 20," I sang loudly not giving a care in a world what people would think, "COULDN'T TAKE HER OUT CAUSE MOM'S GOT NO MONEY." Thanks to Cal, I was in a good mood.
