*next day*
It was bright and sunny on a Summer Monday morning. The light was peaking threw the curtains of my window onto the carpet of my room. I didn't want to get up. My bed was comfy but one ray of light would break it for me.
I looked at my clock, it read: 9:03. Eh, sometimes I'm a morning person (times where I'd be benefited), other times, not so much.
I didn't remember much from last night, but I do remember that I fell asleep on a few people. I didn't bother checking my phone for texts, they were probably from Calum, Ashton, Luke, Briana, and Kam. They can wait. Twitter could wait too, I can't risk seeing more of those pictures circulating around. It would just make me sick to my stomach.
When I had school, in America, I'd usually be in third period at this time. I really hated that algebra 2 class. I'm just thankful I even passed it. But it's Summer now, and I'm in another country, down below. It's weird because the seasons are different, which means that the schooling's different too. In about two months, I'd be going back to classrooms and books.
I would have gone back to sleep but the ringing sound of the TV downstairs was practically booming with conversation and educational tunes, my brother's kiddy stuff. I remember I used to wake up every day before I went to school and watch The Wiggles, that was before I moved.
Since I was already awake, I guess it was time for breakfast. I didn't have to make myself look nice or anything. I had my hair in a messy bun and was wearing an old t-shirt with sweatpants. It was a lazy day for me. If anyone wanted to plan anything, like a day out, it could wait till tomorrow.
As I was making my way down the flight of stairs, I heard whispering and giggling coming from the living room. It wasn't my parents, since they were out working, so who the hell could it be?
I started creeping, slowly and quietly, making sure the floor below me didn't creak. I did have hardwood flooring.
"Um," a pause, "hello?" I called out. It was like a scene from a horror movie, except I hope this one doesn't turn out bloody and me dead. I just realized I should've grabbed my phone, in case I needed to call anyone in an emergency. This was pretty close to one.
"Yeah?" A deep voice responded. Shit, I hope it's not some burglar. I'm not prepared for that.
"I have a knife." I threatened. I was lying, I didn't have a knife. But I did have some feet, feet that can kick and run fast.
"Rachel? Is that you? It's me you dummy." The voice spoke. But it did ring a bell. Not many people call me 'dummy,' so in that moment, I knew who it was.
I jumped into the opening of the living room and opened my arms wide for a hug, "LUKE!"
He was wearing a band shirt and shorts, with his white thongs. It looked like he just came from a walk. Alex was sat in front of the TV, paying close attention to the shapes and numbers on the screen.
"HEEEEY!" Luke lifted me up, embracing me like he hasn't seen me for the longest. Funny, because he didn't see me for two days. Not very long.
He set me down as we sat down on the sofa. "I can't believe you tried to scare me, with a knife!" Luke started laughing, slapping his thigh.
"Well I was afraid Luke! I thought you were a robber," I scolded. He just stared at me, laughing at my serious, irked face.
"I guess I'm not a very good robber," Luke remarked, jabbing gently at my side. Stupid.
I rolled my eyes, "Oh Luke, really?"
"Aren't you going to ask why I'm here?"
"Okay.. What are you doing here? On a Monday morning?" I started to play with his hair. He didn't mind though.
