Chapter 16.

Max's POV
I didn't remember anything. I only remember comforting Audrey then going inside house. It was like darkness overtook me. I couldn't control anything. Please, don't let this happen, not now. I opened my eyes and saw a flashing bright light. I got used to my surrounding and saw that I was on my bed.

Audrey was shaking me for some reason and is also repeatedly saying my name.
"Max, wake up" she says.
"What?" I say confused.
"What is that?" She says, pointing to her bed. On her bed laid a katana, and in her hand was a note.
"I don't know" I answer. I was being truthful.
"Did you write the note?" She says.
"No..." I say.
"Then why did you say 'In 6 days be prepared'?" She says.
"What? I never said that!" I say.
"Yeah you did, stop lying" she says.
"I didn't I don't even remember that" I exclaim.
"Sure you didn't, I'm going out, you liar" she says.
"I'm not a liar!" I say, but she was already out the door.

My head started to ache. What is happening?
Blood trickled out of my mouth. I wiped it away with my hand. My held my head, with my hand.

Liar.
Liar.
Liar.

The words replayed in my head.
"Stop lying"
"Liar"

What did she mean?
I heard a ding from my phone and my screen lighted up.
I grabbed the phone and turned it on. It was a text message from an anonymous person.

"6 days"
It said.
The same thing that Audrey said.
"What do you mean?"
I text back.
"Don't act like you don't know"
They text back immediately.
"Who are you?"
I ask.
"You should ask yourself that"
They said.
I dropped my phone and held my head.
It started hurting more.

"Max?"

A/N: this was a short chapter but whatever. I was just winging this chapter so....
