What ended up happening after that is I decided to go steady with Marc. We continued to meet at that spot every other day to play music and sketch and after a little self coaxing, I finally got the nerve to tell Marc I loved him. And trust me... it took long enough. Displaying all my best sketches to recruiters I got accepted and went on to study at a local art college and Marc went to work for his mother behind the scenes for many famous artists. Right now I am working on honing my skills with pen and ink, my most worthy adversary. I plan to graduate and become a comic editorialist, but right at the moment I am doing assignments for Marc's publicizing, including advertising art and posters for upcoming gigs.
I am currently in the works of getting my own place, although Marc says his parents have secured him a loft downtown, and... I don't exactly know what he is implying? Also I am the proud owner of a Persian calico cat. Marc gave me him as a Christmas present for our 2nd anniversary. His name is Monty, ain't that just sweet?
"What are you doing?" I look up to Marc.
"Writing the epilogue to my memoirs on Wattpad, what about it?"
"You're so weird, you know that? Writing down everything that has happened to you this whole time?"
"Anyways I am about to finish it. Wanna hear the last paragraph?" Marc hunches over the chair.
"Might as well."
And now we are well on our way to doing the things we want to do, and being the people we want to be, with no obstacles to hold us back.
"What do you think?"
"That that is extremely cheesy." I scowl.
"I would like to hear you to come up with a better one?" He ponders, then grabs something from his back pocket.
"How about the end... and by the way," he opens up the object he has pulled out expose a ring. "Wanna marry me in a year or so when you graduate?"
"Say wha..?"
"Say yes you airhead."
"Yes." I look over to you guys. "D-due to a previous engagement On Mute shall be ended till further notice."
"Now THAT sounds like a good ending."
"Oh can it Marc!"
