Chapter Eighteen

Roman's POV

"Why?" I ask my mate while my eyes scan the figure that he is taking with us to see CJ.

"Look Only, Lane is a friend, my student and a guard." He defends.

"But he no look-"

"I know he doesn't look it Roman but he is. I'm taking him-"

"He omega?" I cut him off too, asking what was on my mind.

"No."

"We go." I dismiss it, walking out of the house and to the car. Lane rushes forward and open the car door for me. I smile and get inside then he closes it.

Lane sits in the back while I'm sitting in the passenger sit and my mate is driving us. He didn't want to take so many guards and cars with us. But I know there will be shadow guards with us. They can't let the King go away without security. I smile and get comfortable. I've been waiting for this day to come. The day where I can see my brother's mate. I really hope he's good looking so that they can make cute babies with CJ but its fine if he isn't; CJ is good looking enough for them both.

"What is the smile all about?" Ken ask and when I look at him, I see he gives me glances but still focus on the road.

"Nothing."

"Liar!" He accuses and I gasp.

"No Ken! I no lie." I say and he chuckles. I scoff and look away from him.

I can't tell him my every thoughts especially the useless ones. Maybe he might know of them when he fully mate because he can read my mind then but for now no.

The long drive gets boring but I make it because I know I'll be seeing CJ at the end of it. When we get in the city, Ken calls him and ask direction to Uncle Liam's new house. It didn't take long to reach there and I sigh in relief when Ken parks the car. I'm about to open my door but it gets opened for me by Lane again.

"Uhm, thanks." I say to him and then look up when my crazy brother runs out the house screaming my name like I'm a celebrity he's never had the chance to meet before or something.

"Only watch out!" Ken shouts and my eyes leave the running CJ to my mate who points back at CJ. I frown not getting what he wants me to watch out for but then it hits me. Too late.

Soon enough I'm groaning on the floor with CJ above me and Lane beneath me. Oh Lane. I push CJ off and quickly get up to check on Lane.

"You kay?" I ask offering my hand to pull him up.

"Yes I'm fine Alpha." He replies with a smile and I turn to a pouting CJ.

"You no know calm welcome? Why you always pushy?"

"I missed you little one. I couldn't stop my body from wanting that kind of welcome. I really tried to stop it but it had it's own mind. I swear!"

I roll my eyes but smile at my crazy bro. I give him a hug and he wraps his arms around me. I rest my head on his shoulder and breathe in his scent. I feel him doing the same and we stay like that, liking the warmth and never wanting to let go.

"I want my mate back." Ken says after some time and we laugh while pulling away from each other.

"He was my brother before he was your mate." CJ retorts and Ken pulls me in his chest, a growl vibrating in his chest which makes me giggle.

"He's always been my mate and will be forever and ever." He whispers and run his tongue on my neck making me shiver.

"Alright kids. Come on in!" I look up when I hear uncle Liam shouts.
