Kenneth's POV

I was up early morning with my alphas and beta for some workout before we had breakfast. After that, I was in our tent while the guys stayed out to work on other things. I was busy putting our battle plan in order. The elephants have no experience in battle so even though Devlin is the higher up, he couldn't lead us and that role was on me. I had to make sure there was no holes in our plans and make it perfect.

"Hey."

I look up to Isaac who is carrying a tray of food and settles it beside me.

"You didn't come out for lunch so I thought to bring it in for you."

"Lunch already?" I ask while picking the tray up to my lap.

"Yeah."

I eat silently and Isaac doesn't say a thing to me. Mere hours from now we will be on our way to rescue our mates. None of us know in what state they will be but I hope my Roman is okay.

"What do you think we will up against?" Isaac suddenly ask.

"I don't know what to expect really but I guess there will be werewolves who are in the Royal's side and some seriously dark magic wielders. As we will be fighting, we just need to make sure magic is against magic and shifters against shifters. But there is always hiccups in battles so we have to expect things to not go as planned but I hope things don't go too far from our plan." I reply with a sigh.

"Perhaps I should join the attacking group?"

"No you can't. Kayline will be enough in that and not forgetting there will be Devlin in that group as well as Roman's father and his alphas. The group is strong enough without you and I'll need you where we will go."

The other reason I want him with me in the rescuing group is that I am afraid of what state his mate is in. With the past day episode, if his mate is injured, she will need him more and he has to be there for her. I only had a feeling of Nate suffering but I wasn't sure of his state. His suffering wouldn't affect Ron so much since they were not yet mated but there were mates anyway and I didn't want him to be distracted if placed in any group with his mate thoughts. The other alphas have strong will better than Ron so they will be fine doing as assigned.

"How many tribes have arrived?" I ask him and he shrugs.

"All except one is present. It is said they won't reach this place today. Right now we are only waiting for the wolves to arrive." Ron replies just as he gets inside the tent. "You are needed outside Alpha."

I get up and so does Isaac who picks up the tray with him and leads the way out, followed by me and Ron. I meet up with Jade and he introduces me to the new arrived tribe leaders.

"I don't know how good your people are and I'm hoping you will divide them best in the befitting group according to ones skill." I tell Jade after greeting the leaders.

"I'll do that." He leaves me as I head back to the tent.

I meet up with my friends and we all get ready with the things will need. Time isn't on our side and Roman's family hasn't arrived yet. I don't wish to march to the enemy's gates without them here but I guess I have no choice. Things has to go as planned.

"I know you miss them," I start saying while looking at my friends. "I miss him too. I know this fight means a lot to you all and to me too. We will fight with every muscle and fur on our body until we breath our last. We won't stop fighting until we take back what belong to us from the enemy. As your alpha, I'm asking you-no, I'm giving you permission to let go and be wild. Give it all you have to make this fight our victory. Be safe and stay alive because I'm not going back without any of you. Watch each others backs if possible, and don't let each other down."
