"So, where exactly are we?" I ask Cato as we walk from the lake into the middle of nowhere, my eyes adjusting to the light "Lake Disappointment, near Perth, Western Australia" after hearing this information I start thinking of a way to get to Perth, I look at Daniel and he still looks really out of it "We definitely can't hike there, look at him" I imply to Cato "Yeah but what other way do we have? Our hover boards are broken and we're deserted, there is no one around us" "I could try" I say, thinking over my idea once more "Try? Try what exactly?" "Shadow-travel" I state simply "Mia, that's ridiculous, you know there's a very limited amount of Demigods can shadow-travel, much less get it right on the first try" "Yes, but how many Demigods can freeze time without trying and only feel slightly drained by affecting over 100 Demigods, I think I can do it, and what's the harm in trying, and plus were only going a couple hundred kilometres" I validly argue "The last time Daniel shadow-travelled he ended up in Croatia, and he is experienced!" "I'm trying it, what other choice do we have?" we walked to the biggest tree in sight at the minute and moved to the shady side of it, I concentrated a lot thinking of the busy streets of Perth, and walked forward confidently, smacking my head straight into the trunk of the tree, rubbing my head in exasperation and disappointment, I hear Cato stifle a laugh, I turn my head and glare at him in annoyance, turning back to the tree with a certain persistence that make my other characteristics shine, concentrating once more I walk forward, through the tree, pulling Dan through and Cato following just behind, we're surrounded by total darkness but keep walking, abruptly the darkness stops, I have to squint to adjust to the light, once adjusted I look around, we're in Perth!, I feel like I could pass out.
Then, I do.
