"WHO IS YOUR GODLY PARENT?"
I'm yelled awake by a man in a lab coat- and no he is Not a scientist, they're just mortals who think they can take our power for themselves and can't, they shouldn't even want it anyway, it's annoying. You have to worry about the fact that you could die every 5 seconds or that there is a monster looking for you, it makes no sense. And humans themselves make no sense either, they have so many relationships with people and then die so easily, setting of a grenade of emotion and catastrophe for everyone who's ever been in their lives more than once, me however, I'd impact around 10 people at a maximum. Mortals also have a need to be noticed, whenever they do something, everyone needs to know about it, whereas us Demigods save the world and keep it to ourselves. And humans give up on things so easily, one minute someone or something is the absolute world to them and then they leave them for dead with a bunch of monsters and a Titan to be tortured to hold up the- 'nope, we're not going there, they don't care and neither do you, get over it, you've never met them anyway' "Hello? You in there nutcase? You gonna answer my question?" The man asks "Hello, I am in fact in here and I'm not a nutcase, I am the daughter of a Greek god or goddess and you're the nutcase for wanting that, you ungrateful idiot and no, I will not answer your question because I'm as clueless to the answer as you are, I don't know who either of my parents are!" I retort, only then do I realise that Cato and Daniel are in the white room with me, both are gawking in my general direction, I start to feel a little flushed as we don't talk about our parents, Daniel's mother left him at an orphanage after she found out what he is and he was delivered to camp soon after when he was about 7 and Cato's mum died in a 'freak' accident involving a hell hound and he got he got to camp when he was 8 and I've known I was a demigod all my life, but got to camp when I was 6 with Romulus who was 11 at the time, I look up at the man ferociously with a resilience and anger that only someone who knows me well knows how much trouble they're in. The man who has a name tag I've only just now noticed, which read 'Jeff' and Jeff obviously angered by the way I have spoken to him stiffens his arm raises it and punches me in the face, I take the blow and usually would retaliate however my hands are tied behind my back and I deserve it, don't know what for but there'd be a fair few reasons, you can almost always link something that happens back to me, even if I had nothing to with it. Jeff has made my nose bleed and Daniel is yelling at him with words I dare not repeat. Jeff, eventually fed up with the bunch of teenagers who refuse to tell him anything, leaves the room. "That was an interesting predicament" I mumble my way through the sentence, "You okay?" Daniel asks "Fine, how many times have I been punched in the face Dan? This is nothing new" I reply "Shouldn't we focus on getting out of here?" Cato says, "Yeah, I don't like being the centre of attention" I laugh "Stripped us of our weapons" Dan replies "Still got my necklace" I counteract Daniel's former statement "Okay, do you want to work on cutting the rope?" Cato inquires "Already on it" I answer and break free from the rope binding my wrists together "You'd think they'd be smarter than this" I say cutting Cato's ropes with one blow and doing the same with Dan's, we run out the door and find the boys' weapons, Cato grabs his collapsible trident and armour, picks up his armband and puts on the surfer necklace Amelia gave him for his birthday "They take my necklace and not yours" he says, clearly annoyed "You're just annoyed 'cause you wanted to wear your girlfriend's present forever" Dan laughed as I put my watch back on (the time was pm3:47) and we slung our backpacks over our shoulders and Daniel's dark iron (basically black) sword is gleaming in the light as we ran out of the facility, laughing at how stupid those people are, we needed to leave before tomorrow because on Sundays they start testing, needles and all, as we're walking to the airport Cato decides run ahead to book in flights as Daniel and I would be no use, as we are walking along Daniel stops and turns to face me
"Hey, I'm sorry for dropping you before, I hope it didn't hurt too much" he says sincerely "It's fine, it wasn't your fault anyway, plus you did me a huge favour, you must be really tired after that" "Not really, I guess they finally found something that actually works" he exclaims as he kisses me passionately, after we show get our deep affection for each other to the public we make our way to the airport.
