"Once upon a time, you woke up with a prince falling in love with you, he swept you off of your feet, you had the best days of your life and he made you feel that you two were infinite. But when the clock tolled at midnight, you had to cut the magical night. Back to reality, you realized you're not Cinderella. He's not the prince he's supposed to be, but instead he's the villain that would crack that vulnerable heart of yours into tiny little pieces that you would never be able put it back together. You just have to go on with your life and keep what's left in you."
The "and they lived happily ever after " line wants us to believe na once you fall in love habang buhay na masaya. Tingin nyo ganun talaga sa reality? NO. Either way, masasaktan ka. Walang extension.
But maybe you just have to be thankful that out of 7 billion people in the world, you're lucky to experience that extreme happiness for some time. Most of us... we're afraid to never find that kind of love again, but why should you go after a love that doesn't work? So let me end this with beautiful, and heart breaking words from Lang Leav, I bet we all want to say this to the person who made us feel we're infinite, loved, and special. But didn't stay in our lives.
"I loved him. I loved how his eyes danced merrily, and the gentle ways he spoke; the way he filled my aimless days, with bitterness and hope. I loved him as I fell to sleep, and each morning as I woke; I loved him with all my wayward heart until the day it broke."
And that is what this painting is all about. Thank you for listening to my presentation."
It was a deafening silence at first, but slow claps began from the back of the dark room until the Auditorium was filled with loud applause.
My professor Sir Buencamino stood up and gave me a squeeze on my left shoulder.
"Wonderful Ms. Montez. Quite moving." Sir Buencamino
"Thank you sir." I smiled genuinely at him.
"I'm looking forward to see more of your master pieces. You're truly a profound artist." Sir Buencamino tapped my shoulder.
"Girl! You totally nailed it!" Ellie pulled me in a tight hug.
"Grabe! Ang lalim ng hugot mo. Nakakalunod! Congrats anyway. " Brix punched my arm lightly.
"Well, first impression is everything." I said with a smug look on my face.
"Hahaha! Ellie
Medyo nagkakwentuhan pa kami habang iniaayos ko yung canvass ko. But after a minute, the room's lights were all switched on and that dragged me back to reality.
"Aw! Crap. Sorry El. I have to go. May lunch date kasi kami ni Andrea and I'm probably late by now."
"Oh sure, see you on our next class?" Ellie
